We first hired Metro Skylight to replace an aging fiberglass skylight back in 2002 with a nice new Velux skylight. The job was done very well. From the first visit, to the final clean up - we were very impressed. And our skylight has been perfect. A few years later, we hired them again to install another skylight for us (a new install). Once again, everything was perfect. Total quality. I should add - both are very large, powered skylights - not the easiest thing to deal with. I have never hesitated in recommending Metro Skylight. I onlly wish they a) did other services (windows) as I would hire them again in a heartbeat, abd b) that other contractors were even half as good. I hope the business is doing well, as they deserve to suceed.

We had hired Brian [last name removed -- Ed] of Space Converters to install our Ikea kitchen as they were an Ikea recommended contractor. It was only as the rpoject progressed (and we had many more visits to Ikea) that we were informed that they were no longer an approved installer. The installers did a terrible job on the installation. They ignored the Ikea instructions and left out important structural supports in the cabinets. When we noted that the drawers were sagging, we were told it was just crappy ikea cabinets. Funny thing - when we found the missing pieces and installed them ourselves (requiring us to re-build the cabinets) everything was fine! They also did not complete the work, did a terrible job on the finishing (gaps). We would have been better off installing everything ourselves.

Jerome did a wonderful job on our basement reno. He was on time and was very clear during the project. We would use him and his company again. The place looks great and is energy efficient. The only problem is getting Jerome to finish up the few remaining things (final inspection, clean up, paper work) needed to finish off the project.
