Today we have Brent inspected my newly purchased 10 yr old townhouse. He was professional, responsible and knowledgable. He took the time to explain to me everything I need to watch for in the house, he even taught me how to maintain the house! It was absolutely educational for a home newbie like me. Most importantly, he was very detail oriented to go through every part of the house. And he found a water leakage in the basement and the attic! Brent would even promise to come back to re-check the problem area after it's fixed with no charge! Excellent customer service! Me and my finance were so thankful to have Brent looked at the house. Now the seller is willing to fix the problem at their cost. Brent is someone you can trust for an independent inspection, he will tell you the facts and problems and will not be influenced by the real estate agents. You make an interesting comment about real estate agents. It's the ongoing argument as to if one should use their agents inspector or not. Well, this is what I can tell you, do I work with agents? yes I do. Do they also understand that I may "kill" the deal for them, yes they do! I simply feel this, the person who hires me and who is paying the bill is the one I give answers to, no one else. I tell it like it is. I am not an alarmist, I try and give economical solutions when possible, and believe that not everything needs to be fixed with a bulldozer like the guy on tv. I try to be as practical as possible.
