These guys are not cheap, but did some quality work. They matched my heritage brick perfectly. Workmanship looks good. They did an excellent job cleaning after their work was done. And Doug is a professional. Thank you.

After living in my home for a couple of years, I've noticed things that should not have been missed on the initial home inspection. I've had contractors in my house with similar opinion. The items that are wrong with the house I purchased should have been caught by a home inspector. 3 months after moving in, we discovered mold in the master bathroom due 25+ year old grout in the shower, along with incorrectly done caulking. The mould buildup was behind the shower wall, so I didn't expect him to break tiles to point this out to me. Last Summer, we had hardwood flooring installed in the carpeted/laminate floor area of the house. Its a bungalow, and after ripping out the old flooring, to our surprise, the contractor found holes in the subfloor in one of the bedrooms. These holes seemed to represent a railing for a staircase. The contractor asked to have access to the basement, where he discovered the section under the area in question was closed off by drywall outside of a few cutout holes (unfinished area). After opening the drywall, I discovered a full second staircase that was closed off and filled with construction waste. The floor joists have also been cut to make room for this staircase. I'm unclear whether the structural integrity of the floor has been compromised. I tried contacting Brent twice by phone with messages, and once by e-mail with no response. I need to him to at least follow up on his initial inspection and tell me whether the floor joists being cut are safe, and done in a proper fashion to put in this second stair case. I don't expect Brent to cut holes in drywall and damage the previous owners property. But as a professional home inspector, I do expect him to notice a section of the basement drywalled off, and at least bring it to my attention, and allow me the opportunity to get information about it from the home owner. This defect is now quite costly to repair, not to mention I have a pile of construction waste in my basement that needs to be removed. Below is my initial review: Brent from Classic Home Inspections is a class act. Great guy to deal with. Honest, extremely professional, and genuinely caring fellow. He took almost 4 hours looking over the house, going through step by step explaining every detail to the point where I was comfortable. I came out of the home inspection with confidence in my purchase. Thanks Brent, a job well done, but I'm sure you knew that already.

Thank you so much for the feedback and kind words Nozar! No, it was your enthuasium which made that home inspection go so well. I love it when people shadow me and ask a zillion questions (not that you did, but it wouldn't have bothered me if that was the case). Nozar, it makes for a more interesting home inspection for me too when people take that kind of interest in it. Do you know that some people don't even bother to show up to the inspection? Anyways, I'm glad that you are happy with the inspection. That's what matters to me the most. Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!
