First Review

10/10

In August of 2008, we took on a major renovation of our small kitchen. There were many problems that needed to be fixed: plumbing and electrical; leveling the floor; heating; water/air venting; how to fit everything we wanted into the small space we had. The existing kitchen had to be torn out and replaced -- wiring, cabinets, the walls and the floor. We spent a lot of time finding the right contractor to do the work. We hired Bill Clawsie of Clawsie Contracting for several reasons. He was personable and easy to talk to. He listened to our ideas/concerns and was very clear about what his plans to address them would be. He gave us a written quote and a written contract with flexible payment options. We received the quote and contract in lots of time and we were able to review and change both to suit our needs. Bill did everything that he said he would do. He even did a few small extras without changing his price. He planned out his work carefully, keeping us informed of his plans and progress. He was flexible when issues arose. We had to get the window company back to fix a crooked window. Bill and another contractor, (who was installing new roof shingles), worked together to get the new kitchen air vent installed. We tore the old kitchen apart and Bill put it back together. He leveled the floor, installed ceramic tile, insulation and drywall; put in our new cabinets and dishwasher; fixed the plumbing and venting. And he did a great job with all of it. Our new kitchen is great! Thanks to Bill, the whole project was a success. Steve from Milton.
