My partner had used Zaid twice before and raved about them, and I had seen how efficient they were as I had been there on both of her move days, so when I had my recent move coming up I booked them. About a week and a half before, the coordinator for the building I was moving into contacted me to say that the elevator - the only elevator - was broken and not likely to be fixed by the 1st of the month. I was moving into the 5th floor. Their insurance was willing to pay for the extra that using the stairs would cost, so we negotiated that: I paid for the bare minimum of the time I expected that it would cost using the elevator, plus the tip because the insurance would not cover a tip. I was still very anxious: about it being a long, arduous day; about everyone, both the movers and myself being grumpy about it being a long arduous day; about unforeseen things going wrong on top of all of this. Zaid's movers blew my expectations out of the waters though. They were so calm, easygoing, and friendly that they kept my anxieties at bay all day. They were such hard workers and good problem-solvers that the whole thing only took 2.5 hours longer than the minimum time I had expected WITH the elevator. Zaid himself was very pleasant to arrange everything with over phone and email, and Holm, the guy in charge of my move, was so pleasant, with such a good sense of humour, that I almost even enjoyed the move - down from the third floor on the leaving end, up to the fifth floor on the receiving end, all with stairs. If I ever move again it will definitely be with Zaid, and I recommend them strongly to everyone. Dorianne
