I have dealt with this company for a number of years. It is super great when something goes wrong, they seem to be able to fix the problem.. many times they do remote control to save me from having to bring in my computer. Just like magic it is fixed. When I go to the store I feel as if I , as a customer is important. I can't say enough good things about Healthy Computers in Listowel.

My electrolux washing machine model # ELFW7537AW1 was transported to Shuh Appliance as it was under warranty. Where I live there was no one that would come to my place to do the warranty work on washing machine that was less than 2 months old. No warm or hot water would come into the washer. It was at Shuh Appliance for 2 weeks. Their technician, informed me the washer was fixed. I went to their store, put the machine through some cycles and no warm or hot water.. the drum would not spin. It was pointed out the owner that this was not working. He said they were not aware of that issue. A letter was taped to the top of the washer when it was delivered there. I showed him where that information was in the letter. so another 2 weeks passed, a technician spoke with me, assured me that the washer was fixed, warm and hot water came into the machine through the hose, not with the sanitize turned on. So with her assurance, the machine was delivered here. set up , hooked up to the new taps and washing machine hoses and the new receptacle and NO there was no warm or hot water. So I paid to have it delivered to their store . Now I am back to square one with this machine that was at Shuh Appliance Service in Guelph, for a month and it is not fixed. Does not speak well for Shuh Appliance Service. I am caught between Shuh and Electrolux. Shuh states they can do nothing until electrolux tells them to stop fixing the machine and electrolux will say they cannot do anything until the technician tells them the machine cannot be fixed. When there is supposed to be hot water coming into the machine through the hot water hose , there is nothing. so there is still something that is not working properly. If hot water is not supposed to be coming into the hot water hose then why are there 2 hoses there? Could it be a faulty circuit board even though a new one was to have been installed? Of could there be a problem with the panel on the front of the washer? When I was told there was no one to do the warranty work on my machine,, to come to my house to fix the washer, I called 3 companies to see if I paid their mileage from where the manufacturer stopped paying if they would come to my house. I was told it was not worth their time.

Company Response

We sincerely apologize that the repair was not up to your satisfaction. As this washer repair is covered under the manufacturers warranty and you are not in our service area, we offered as a courtesy to repair the washer in our shop. In addition, you have indicated that three other service companies have attempted to address your concerns and have been unsuccessful to date. As you were willing to bring the washer to us at your own expense, we were happy to diagnose and source the required parts to complete the repair. Our diagnosis determined the issue with the washer was a defective door lock mechanism, motor control board and main control board due to the lack of high spin. We replaced these parts and the washer responded positively to the repair. No further action is required at this time.

Unfortunately, the washer is not capable of performing in the manner you would like it to with respect to hot water. The manufacturer specifications indicates the following "The wash water is heated by an internal boost heater to a maximum of 152 degrees F(67 degrees celsius) as the load tumbles. Cold water is added to cool down the load prior to drain and spin" page 27 of the owners manual.

To that end, if the performance of the washer is not up to your expectations we suggest reaching out directly to the manufacturer to discuss your options as we have completed the repair to the best of our ability and the washer has responded positively as the spinning issue is no longer present.

Kind regards,
Shuh's Appliance Centre
