We purchased a high bank waterfront cabin that came with a great view - and lethal rotten railings on the deck. Our original intention had been to replace the railings with something safer and wooden. Arnold came up with several suggestions / cost options for glass panels to expose the view. He wasn't at all pushy and was happy for us to do some of the prep work ourselves in order to keep costs down. He's very much a perfectionist, and we love the results!

Following some reframing work I needed someone to mud the new drywall. Rob did a fantastic job, and also patched some other areas in the rom that needed doing after our furnace relocation. But...... Dry walling requires numerous return trips and these times were changed, rearranged, postponed..over and over... The work done was of great quality but the logistics drove me mad!

We needed someone to reframe a closet area after we relocated the furnace. The first quote we got was so huge we left the area unfinished for 12 months :) jayson and the guys from Hauerbuilt were happy to take on a relatively small job, with a much more reasonable quote. They showed up right on time, cleared up after themselves and did a great job

Aldo from Cambie drainage came to our rescue when our basement flooded. it became apparent that tree roots (city trees!) had completely blocked our drain tile. He was happy for us to reduce our costs by providing some of the labour ourselves, and had some good suggestions as to things we could do now to save ourselves money and further problems in the future. Came in under estimate which is always a happy thing. We are using them again to do the drain tile in our new home.

Rpb had some good ideas as to how to get the results we desired -controllable heating in four different zones of our home. a 10C difference between upstairs and down was not unusual beforehand. Some of the finer details didn't seem to reach the actual guys doing the install though, although were happy to oblige us when we made them aware. very happy to have the guys in our home when we were absent, and to be there with them as a women on my own. no probs there.
