A review for AA Floors & More Ltd
My first experience when I walked into AA flooring was great. I liked their samples and their pricing. There are a few problems though with this company. The flooring that they provide are short pieces of wood, all of different lengths. They are not long and consistent. Also, they will not accept the return of a damaged box if it has been opened. We accepted the box because the driver said it was ok to check the extent of the damage, and returns shouldn't be a problem. When we opened it up most of the pieces were damaged, but they wouldn't take it back, saying that i shouldn't have accepted the box in the first place. So make sure to check all products before you accept it, and directly refuse to accept any damaged box, even if it comes from their driver, with their truck. Also, be very specific when you buy flooring, ask if they have identical matching transition pieces that go along with the flooring. For the one i picked which was engineered, I was stuck having to make custom transition pieces, which ended up being more expensive than what I would have liked to spent. They don't have matching transitions for engineered hardwood, so be very careful with what you are buying. Response to company's post: In no way did my review directly target your company. I have written an exact experience that I had with your company. To say that my review was "not done in good faith", and "not accurate or genuine", you have insulted me directly and criticized my character. You do not have that right to use harsh and insulting words at a client for posting a review. I'm truly appalled that Homestars has not asked you to edit your post. It's unethical and insulting and speaks volume for the company you represent.
Hi, thanks for the feedback and I'm sorry that you've encountered some problems with your purchase, but this is not an entirely accurate or genuine review. You purchased an engineered floating hardwood floor which is a man-made floor, where the lengths are determined during production. Normally the lengths are all uniform, and randomn lengths are seen as a desirable feature, since that emulates a real solid hardwood floor where the pieces are also mixed. Furthermore you were informed that the pieces would be no longer than 4 feet and the boxes are no longer than 4 feet as well, and you were personally shown the box. It's hard for us to imagine, after reading your review, that this somehow came as a surprise to you. The delivery issue was a miscommunication. The driver advised you to return the damaged box or consume it if practical. You chose to open it and then return it. We do not accept opened boxes. We would have no objections in simply exchanging the damaged box had it been left unopened. We offer unfinished transitions for most of our builders and professional clientele as well as a limited number of prefinished mouldings. It is not physically possible to have a matching transition for every one of the over 400 colours of wood that we offer. This was clearly communicated to you in person and over the phone. That you chose to mention this here is an indication that your review was not done in good faith, despite our best attempts at alleviating all of your concerns. We hope that your next interaction with us is to your complete satisfaction.
A review for RLC Electric
Ralph is very meticulous. We live in a building so there is a lot of intricate detail that he needed to pay attention to. Ralph does not let anything slide. He knows his stuff- he pays attention to all building and electric codes, and goes above and beyond to make sure all the wires are perfect and up to standard. He stays as late as he has to to get the work done, and very accommodating while working with other contractors. I would definitely hire Ralph again for any future electrical work that I need. Highly recommended. -Amar and Karina0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Diamond Tile and Contracting
I found Diamond Tile and Contracting on Homestars. I called Dino that evening, and the next day he was at my place. He gave me an exact price quote for the work I wanted. They started to work on the day he said they would, and finished on the day he said they would. His team is fantastic. My tiles look beautiful! I really like Dino's honesty and straightforwardness. He didn't ask for a deposit up front before the work started, you pay as the work progresses, which makes it very easy to work with Dino. What he quotes from the very beginning he sticks to it, you don't pay a penny more. Moreover, I wanted a job done that was perfect and QUICK. I needed my bathrooms and kitchen renovated in 2 weeks. Dino promised me that, and he stuck to it. He has a really good team. I was quite shocked as to how quick and efficient they all are. I would highly recommend them, especially if you want something done quickly, and done WELL. I was quite impressed with the attention to detail and perfectionism by the tilers. Thanks Dino, Henry, Gian Carlo, and the rest of the crew. - Amar & Karina0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
