John built an extension to our backyard deck and designed a wooden privacy trellace around it. We enjoyed working with John so much that when it came time to do renovations at our business we called him because we needed to make sure it was a quality job and we knew he could be counted on. Highly recommended. Skilled, smart, works on time and fair price.

I've now restored two Victorian houses, but had not met a carpenter whom I would rehire--until John! He (and Dave) have just completed two small projects for me, a fireplace mantel and a pocket door, and other miscellaneous repairs. The craftsmanship was terrific, and the work was completed in a timely manner and at reasonable cost. Almost as important, I found them both to be very pleasant, affable guys with great spirit and good humour. I will most definitely hire them again--and I recommend BBG Carpentry and Renovations to others, without reservation.

John and Dave were able to finish things I have had on my list for 2 years. The were fast, efficient and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend either or both of them and plan to use them for future work. Thanks for you help - everything looks great guys!

John has completed the initial stage of the work we decided to have done on our basement. As the house is a century home, we knew there would be some challenges. John provided great advice which was thoroughly researched. John is competent, honest, reliable, and reasonable, and above all a hard worker who will go the extra mile(km)for you. Our family was very excited about moving into our new first home, with Halloween just a few weeks away... we were very excited for our young son to experience having trick or treaters. We were crushed when days before we had to tear up our front stairs so plumbers could fix a broken sewage pipe. Without stairs we wouldn't be having trick or treaters. We called John. Not only was he pleasant and affordable, he was able to rearrange his schedule to accomodate building us new front stairs under short notice. On top of that, it ended up being a very rainy miserable day... the worst kind of working conditions. He was very cheery about it. Our new front stairs look fabulous. We would highly recommend him! Thanks John for making our Halloween happen.

John and his crew did an excellent job on our repair project. His attention to detail and approachability were greatly appreciated. He was always candid and kept us informed as to the progress and next steps throughout the entire repair. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
