Arco Roofing Calgary's Cedar Shake Roof Repair Specialist

I had a very positive experience with ARCO, from start to finish.

I was impressed by the level of detail that went into the initial quote for the maintenance/repair work on my cedar shake roof -- and the amount of (non-billed) time and effort that Art invested in both preparing that quote and sitting down with me to review and discuss it. The ARCO team was at my house to perform the work within a reasonable amount of time of the signing the contract (about 2 weeks at a busy time for the company). The ARCO team was friendly and professional, and did a good job cleaning the site after the work was complete. My warranty was delivered the day after I paid.

I would gladly recommend ARCO for cedar shake work. The team is diligent, honest, responsive, and friendly. I will be using ARCO when my roof needs regular maintenance again in a few years.

ARCO recently completed maintenance on our cedar roof and we are very happy with the job they did. A very detailed quote and thorough explanation of the proposed work was provided along with the reasoning why. The workers who completed the maintenance were polite and professional and left the site clean before leaving.

We are happy and confident with our decision to use ARCO and will use them again for future maintenance. Would recommend their service to anyone with a shake roof.

Overall it was a good experience.

Received a very detailed quote. Once reviewing and excepting of quote I was told that about two weeks. Just shy of that period I get a call from Art that the job will start. Crew showed up on time and worked in a very timely fashion. The clean up after the job was complete was excellent. Job took 1.5 days. Thanks again guys.

We had a great experience with Art and his team at Arco. Art's quote process is very thorough. He provided full disclosure of what shakes needed to be replaced including pictures. The pricing was very transparent. We paid the deposit and booked an approx. date for mid-June. The work was completed within the timeframe quoted. Art's team completing the work were very friendly and courteous. They even thoroughly cleaned up after the job so you wouldn't even know they had been there. I would highly recommend this company. Excellent experience.

When we decided to repair our cedar shake roof rather than replace it, we looked for contractors who would do this type of work. One roofing company recommended against replacing shakes as they suggested it would compromise the integrity of the roof. We then came upon Arco Roofing which specializes in this line of work. I spoke to the principal of the company, Art, who went to lengths to explain how they would do the work and provide a 5 year warranty.
Art then came out to examine our roof and gave us a detailed estimate of the work and the price, including photos. His team next came out at the appointed and performed the work. After the job was done, Art came by and gave us detailed information on the number of shakes they had replaced which exceeded the number in the estimate. He also handed me the warranty. To sum up, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the company. The estimate was precise, the work was done on time and quickly and the workmen cleaned up after themselves. To my eye, the shakes were properly installed. I have no hesitation whatsoever recommending this company to others for similar jobs.

It was music to my ears....when Art told me my cedar shake roof was 92% good! I have always loved the look of cedar shakes and was reluctant to remove this premium feature from my 24 year old home. The free inspection and very detailed report ....(with pictures......because I wasn't getting up on the roof).....outlined what needed to be done to insure I would get many more years of protection from my roof. The young men who worked on my roof were very professional. There was no mess left at the end of each day....all was clean and tidy!
If you have a shake roof.....you need to have ARCO on your side. They are truly amazing, and what's not to like regarding a 5 year warranty?

My 22 year old cedar shake roof needed some TLC so I got three quotes from companies that specialize in that kind of thing by searching Homestars. All three came out to my house and checked the roof but Arco seemed to do the better job. Not only did they inspect the condition of the roof, they followed up the inspection with a face-to-face meeting to explain what needed to be repaired and why - they even took pictures of the problem areas to that I could see for myself what they were talking about. It was also a plus that the guy sitting down with me and explaining the results of the inspection was the owner of the company - Art. Arco's quote was based on a thorough inspection and gave me confidence that they were going to be fixing everything that needed to be fixed, no more no less, and there wouldn't be any "surprises".

OK, that's all great, but could they deliver. Yup, they did. The work was done quickly, safely and (what appears to my untrained eye) to be good workmanship. The crew of three young men was friendly and courteous and hard working. Good crew Art.

Price-wise, Arco was very competitive. They weren't the lowest quote, but they weren't far off. I feel I got a quality job for a fair price.

When my roof is due for another round of maintenance in 4 or 5 years I'll be giving these guys a call for sure.

When his crew looked at the roof they took pictures so they could see exactly which pine shakes needed replacing. Plus he can then show customer which shakes are bad. He also only replaces shakes that need replaced. In other words no over kill, by replacing unneeded shakes. His crews arrived om May 16/16 in the afternoon and finished on the morning of May 17/16. The young men that did the work where very courteous and polite, they kept the yard and driveway clean at all times throwing all the old broken shakes in the trailer almost usually as quick as they occurred. In other words no cabbage laid around very long.
