Fridge and stove repair

Back in May I had this company out to repair the door on my fridge and the clock on my stove. They had to order parts for both. It is now August I have not seen the parts they keep giving me excuses and making appointments to send a technician out then calling me an hour and a half before he supposed to arrive to tell me they dont have one of the parts. So far I have spent $751 on a service call and parts Ordering And they want another $520 when they show up with the parts. I have called in regards to them making appointments and cancelling an hour and a half before how many days is someone supposed to takeoff of work so they can just cancel. I have a call in to customer service to see if I can get a refund on at least some of my money but judging by the reviews I see above I am probably over $751 . This company should be reported.

Angry and dissatisfied!

Absolutely disgusting service! They will take your money and you appliances will still be broken. Stay far away! Customer service is an absolute joke! They give you 1 million excuses hang up on you put you on hold for no ridiculous reason give you the absolute run around. They are rude and incompetent. They take your money and run. And Ive been going through this nightmare for two weeks with these absolute shameless people that call themselves licensed and Im still left with a broken appliance and out $850. Every time you call to get an issue resolved. Its another story another runaround they are completely unprofessional. Stay far away from this company take your hard earned money somewhere else. When you call the customer service line, nobody knows the answer they keep giving you the same run around. Theres no manager to speak to. Its absolutely bogus and ridiculous. The technicians are not license. They leave you with Mickey Mouse repairs charge. You ridiculous amounts of money and leave you with a broken appliance. The only thing they know how to do to be dishonest to take advantage of innocent customers, and taking your money.

Still doesn’t work

I am so disappointed with the service I received. The technician first cam to my house smelling of body odour ! Next, he asks for our WIFI password? so he could run a diagnostic test on the machine. He said that he needed to reset the safety system and that all would be fine. He tried to run a cycle and was impatient for it to finish so he guaranteed that it would work otherwise he would come back. Apparently now I need a new board? Why reset a machine for $290 if a board is needed??? I called and the receptionist said they will not send a new technician out because we need a new board! I do not understand why I was charged $290 to reset a system that you know is not going to work! This is deceptive!

Do not use this company!!!

I called this company since my 2 year old refrigerator was not working/ cooling. They came and the repairman said it would cost for parts and labor a total of $890. I would have to pay $610 now then balance once they put in the part. The site deceives you into thinking you can pay by credit card but the small, print says by preapproval only! What company does this? Deceitful ones do! After installation of the part the technician said it was fixed. When the fridge still didn't work I called the customer service line. The women stated it had to go to the warranty department and hopefully they will approve for an expert technician to come back and fix my fridge! They refused to give me a refund for services not rendered. They removed my review from their site. The customer service department refused to let me speak to a manager of this department. They refused to provide the name of a manager or the owner of the company siting , " their privacy." At one point they hung up on me! The same technician returned a few days later stating it just needed to be reset. When I challenged him he stated it was all fixed. It still didn't work after a couple of hours he stated it needed to start cooling. They are deceitful! I called the Kitchenaid repair depart. It was the compressor and was covered under warranty. This company did not identify it was the compressor. It was replaced. This company wanted me to pay another $1000 to replace this after the two visits did not fix the fridge in the first place. These people should have been shut down a long time ago. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection Ontario. My next step is to take them to small claims court!

Charged for a repair that did not happen

Called Appliance Repair as my 4 year old high-end Kitchenaid microwave started making a loud noise.

Received about a dozen calls rescheduling the repair person.

They said it would be $80 for the service visit - no credit cards - just debit and cash. I agreed.

The guy came in, put a mug of water in the microwave and then wrote on the service sheet - Not heating.

He then said it would cost $248 to repair. I agreed.

Gave me his debit machine and I willingly paid.

He opened the side cover and then said to repair the oven, the parts would cost $900.

We said it wasn't worth it.

As there was no repair performed, except for opening the side cover, we asked for a refund. The customer service person was very rude and said to read the contract.

Looks like they make their money this way.

Absolute trash from customer service to service call

Charged my senior citizen mother for a service call when absolutely nothing was performed, nothing was fixed. Told my mother she had to move the washer dryer herself so he the 20 something year old could get in behind.

Very poor service Wrong part sent through technician 3 times!!

I contacted Appliance Repair team for my Whirlpool washing machine repair more than a month ago. Technician came at that time and did the diagnosis and said machine needs washer lock assembly and Bezel lid lock. Technician then asked for $400 deposit.

I waited for weeks ..since parts were not available and back ordered. After several follow ups, they sent a Technician with the wrong part.. not one time three times!

When I called the office.. I don't get a proper Answer.. they always said they are working on our file... when I ask the manager on duty, they said not available.. looks like the management is hiding behind the desk!! This company has no clue on what they are doing. Very poor customer service with no valid answer or root cause of the problem.

I am so frustrated with this company.. till todate my washing machine is out of order. I have canceled the service with them and now requesting my refund for the deposit paid.

Do not call or use APPLIANCE REPAIR TEAM
for any of your appliance services!!

Be Ware!

On July 19, I had called this company as our dryer stopped heating. I saw the ad in Google on top and sp made the call. I was told that their charges are $80 which would be adjusted once we do the repair with them and the service will be done on the same day as they advertise. Upon arrival the tech told us that it is actually $280 + taxes which would include any repair and it is not $0 for repair but just the fee to show up. We were in emergency so we decided to go ahead with the service as we have kids and dyers are a daily necessity. After we paid $280 + taxes we were told any pares would cost extra to which we also agreed as it was an urgency and was told that any part that needs to be replaced will done on the same day. The tech took only 2 minutes to diagnose the problem and told us that the the switch needs to be replace3d and we have to pay another $280 + taxes, to which we agreed as we wanted to get it done after having spend already $280+ taxes. When he was leaving I asked him as to why my part is not been replaced - to which I was told that they are out of stock and it will take 3 business days. Since we had paid for the repair and part we had no choice but to wait for 3 business days. After 3 business days we called the company and the lady answering the call started yelling and telling us that she has no control of part replacement as it is not in her hands as her supplier is getting the replacement part for the dryer. Their response made us really frustrated and had to rely on nature to dry our clothes in our backyard. We were told we will get a call as soon as the replacement part of the dryer would be available. It has been more than a week now and when I called them today the lady screamed again and said that they currently do not have it in stock and not sure when the replacement part would be available. At this point it was really testing our patience and we asked for a refund to which the rep answering the phone told us that to look at our service agreement and nothing much she could do. I have learnt a lesson after burning my hands and facing days of inconvenience after spending around $500. The brand of the dryer is Moffat which is not a high end brand and is available in retails for around $675. I just hope that other families are aware of this and after seeing their reviews in Better Business Bureau, this is a typical pattern and many others have filed a complaint with the better business bureau

Entrapment and deception

House call was $80 which I assumed would cover cost of looking at appliance. To actually look and diagnose the problem, technician demanded $370 and then left me with a larger bill for parts. Do not trust this company.

Terrible experience

Booked an appointment to have our microwave looked at. They told me $80 service fee. The repair person came and said it's $290 for them to do any work. Said he would have it fixed for that amount plus parts. I asked the cost of the parts and he said he didn't know, but probably something small and would be included.
20 minutes later he said it was $985+ tax for part and then additional labour charge.
Told him to leave and he would not budge on the price.

They are not honest and I would not recommend anyone ever use them as you can see by all of the terrible reviews.
