Having a requirement for a structural concrete pad to support the weight of a large oxygen storage tank to be installed for my hyperbaric oxygen therapy centre, I sent out emails to several concrete contractors asking for quotes. City Concrete was the only company to respond. Mohamed, the owner met with me on site and it was immediately apparent that he was a conscientious professional. Immediately upon receipt of our building permits from the City of Toronto, I call Mohamed and he was on site within hours and his crew arrived the following day to start the project. The concrete work had to start immediately in order for the opening of the centre to remain on schedule. It was going to be difficult. With the delays imposed by the City, we were a month behind schedule, early February and the weather was not cooperating. The ground was frozen. The crew worked long cold days, producing the pad to the precise specifications of Praxair (oxygen/oxygen tank supplier) and City of Toronto engineers. Particular care had to be taken to assure proper and full curing of the concrete. The workmanship was impeccable. This project was not only the concrete pad, it involved all the pre-excavation, forming, multi-layered rebar gridding, the actual pouring of the pad, plus the vehicular bumper guards and fencing required for safe storage of liquid oxygen. At all times, the City Concrete crew were courteous and respectful to the neighbouring businesses, as well as the other trades that were working on site. My new centre did open on schedule, many children started treatment on the first day of their March break which was the goal. I would highly recommend City Concrete. I called around for quotes and discovered it to be roughly the same price everywhere. I went with the most supportive over the phone. I was DIY'ing so I just need the pour. The truck came on time and was pleasant enough. Everything was running smoothly until the truck broke down. I was very impressed that within a half hour another truck showed. We didn't slow down once. The best was when City Concrete refunded a little money for the troubles of the break down. The basement slab is poured and drying now.

Good to deal with on the phone. First time ordering concrete and the dispatcher was able to give me a rundown on what to expect and what concrete grade to order. Ordered concrete to be delivered on a Saturday morning. Truck was on time and considering the amount of concrete I needed the project came out great. I would get a truck in rather than trying to mix my own concrete!

Most recent renovation was to make a few steps in our backyard leading to the patio. The area this company is located in contains tens of companies that provide the service but City Concrete beat everyone's price, and provided a longer warranty time. With that, we went along and made 3 narrow steps. The concrete dried fairly quickly, and we were provided a few follow up calls to see how we liked the new addition.

I hired city concrete to pur a 3" concrete floor in our retail space. The company was very professional, punctual, and extremely well organized. The space was left clean and ready to go. The owner was friendly and ready to please us in every aspect of the project.

Mohamed and team dug out our existing concrete slab and laid a new slab, preserving all of our basement height. He is extremely knowledgable about his work and very professional. The job was done well and the site cleaned upon completion

We found it very tough to get a company to do a small residential job but City concrete came through. Everthing happened on time and on budget and their follow up to fix some minor issues was superb.

We bought our house last summer knowing there was a lot of work to be done, but we didn't quite realize what we were getting ourselves into. Mohamed was the first contractor we worked with, and he set the bar for all future contractors. We initially hired Mohamed and City Concrete to demolish an old garage and a poorly built addition with a massive concrete foundation. We ended up also having him remove tile and concrete throughout the main floor of the house, lay a new subfloor, waterproof the back of the house where the addition had been removed, and pour a new concrete driveway. There were many surprises along the way, including the discovery of a second concrete slab under the garage's concrete floor, and Mohamed and his team took these issues in stride and worked with us to find solutions. Mohamed also ended up acting as unofficial mediator, talking down a very difficult and confrontational neighbour. Having Mohamed on the job for this incredibly difficult and stressful part of the renos made the process manageable. Mohamed and his team were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The City Concrete crew were always professional and respectful, and Mohamed's patience and commitment to our satisfaction at every stage put us at ease. We knew we were in good, trusted hands.
