Amazing service

Oven igniter replacement After moving into our home the 'new' oven broke within 5 days. We called The Appliance Guy who was able to visit the next morning. To our amazement he even had the part (which we thought would be a special order) and was able to fix it right there on the spot. Thrilled! We'll be calling him again since we were notified by Enbridge of a gas pipe that needs replacing.

Excellent service, all commitments honoured

repair washing machine My slightly older 8 speed GE washing machine was no longer agitating or spinning. Called Sears for repair and was very unhappy with the phone customer service so I googled washing machine repair Etobicoke and found Joe on this website and decided to call based on all the great reviews.
Joe was EXACTLY what his ad and all the comments said! He called back, scheduled a mutually agreeable time - even though i was west of his usual zone and even called twice in the morning to confirm the time so I was NOT stuck at home waiting for him.
During our initial conversation he asked a few basic questions about the machine and how the problem started. Due to his great expertise and years of practice Joe arrived with ALL the necessary parts required to restore my washing machine to its former glory!! Sears would not even schedule the appt without a model number and this particular machine has no such number anywhere easily visible. Joe was able to figure everything out with my basic, non-technical description.
I really liked that after the repair was complete but before the cover was re-attached Joe took the time to walk me through exactly what was repaired and showed me what to look for in the future. He is professional and knowledgeable but he was also kind and respectful. He even moved the machine back into its proper place and was on his way before I finished a sink of dishes!!
I returned to work and immediately told everyone about my wonderful repair experience because really, when does this EVER happen anymore??
I will definitey continue to call Joe and have happily recommended his services but I'm really hoping nothing else breaks for a while!!!!

Best service

Old clothes dryer My very old Maytag dryer finally had some problems. I considered buying a new one but thought that it might be worth seeing if it could be repaired. Read the reviews here and decided to call Joe. He figured out the problem quickly, had the necessary parts with him and fixed it quickly. What a wonderful surprise. He explained what the problem was, showed me the parts that had to be changed and why - and explained what he was doing. Wonderful customer service and very knowledgeable and skilled. Have put his card at the front of line!!

Prompt, efficient, effective service

Refrigerator Repair 3 year old GE Artica Refrigerator suffered from on/off freezer melt-downs for a long time and previous service calls were ineffective. Came across this website and decided to give Joe a try before throwing out my fridge. It was refreshing to reach Joe on the first try, who then proceeded to keep his promise to see me the next day, called ahead and showed up on time. Joe was friendly, professional and proceeded to finish the repair in 1/2 hour since he had the required circuit board on hand. My fridge is finally working properly and I am very happy - recommended.

Excellent repairman

Appliance Repairs So far he has repaired my dishwasher and my fridge twice (different problems). He was out to look at my washer yesterday.

Even though I'm a bit outside his service area, I've never had to wait more than a day or two for repairs.

I've never met him in person, but according to my wife he's professional, courteous and knows what he is doing.

Unbelieveable service

Appliance Repair Late Tues. night we noticed that the food in the freezer was starting to thaw. We have had this issue before and called the Appliance Guy after reading reviews on Homestars. I called him at 9:30am on Wednesday am and inquired about his ability to complete a service call in the next few days. I informed him that we have a second fridge in the basement so it was not an urgent request. He insisted that he service the appliance today and was willing to squeeze me into his schedule for the same day. To my disbelief he was at my home one hour later. He fixed the problem promptly and explained his repair in detail. He improved and upgraded the broken heater and we were up and running perfectly in less than 12 hours from the time we discovered the problem. We will have him on speed dial from now on. It is so wonderful to discover someone so friendly and reliable. His excellent customer service and attention to detail will make us return customers in the future. We are so appreciative and thankful to have found such a great guy on Homestars. He has our highest recommendation.

Joe is Terrific!

Washing Machine Fix We had an emergency need to fix a washing machine in my mum's house while she was overseas, and with a disabled brother, a washing machine that works daily is so important. Joe made room in his schedule to make sure to get to the house before the end of that day (I talked to him at 1pm, he was at the house by 4), and he was prepared, professional and simply a delight. I have just called Joe to come and fix my own machine!

knows his stuff

dishwasher Old Maytag dishwasher finally broke down. We were ready to chuck it out but thought we might just take a chance on a repairman although not looking forward to the usual "keep you waiting" types and "not sure what to do" types who occasionally inhabit the repair field. Joe arrived on schedule, figured the problem out in minutes. Had the necessary parts in his van and had it fixed it in a few more minutes. Joe knows his stuff!

Still running fine after one year

Over The Range Microwave My 15 year old over-the-range microwave stopped heating and I knew that replacing it would be a major expense. Joe came shortly after I called him. He found that the microwave had not been installed properly and with my permission, he knocked off one of the panels so that he could service the unit. He replaced the door switch and tested it thoroughly to make sure it was the correct fix. Everything is fine more than one year later, saving me a significant expenditure. Joe is your man if you have an appliance problem!

Excellent job!

Fridge and Washer The appliance guy is great, called, told him the brand and what the problem appeared to be, he seemed to already know what is the most likely part that is broken and what needed to be done. Set up an appointment a few days later, he came over and fixed both the fridge and the washer.

Will happily recommend and call again in the future.
