Terrible company. And Courtney, please don't respond with your stock message pretending to be concerned, because your company has already had numerous chances and it shouldn't take a review on a website to get any response from customer service. We ordered 5 sessions of weeding, fertilizer, overseeding from this company. We were told we'd get an email 24 hours in advance. We did. It's now over a week later and no one ever showed up. I called last friday and the rep said she was trying to get ahold of the tech and get him out same day. She put me on hold but couldn't reach him and promised to call me back that day. No one showed up, no one called back. Called back later that night and couldnt get through due to "high call volume." Called monday morning, told there was a high call volume again and they said they'd call back as soon as the next agent was available. Hours pass, no call. Call back, same message, told them i've already been waiting hours.. "Oh we haven't started call backs yet, you should hopefully hear from someone at some point today." Couldn't give me an approx time or even guarantee it would be today. I asked to speak to a manager but apparently there is no manager on site and managers can't cancel service. So i guess i'm just stuck then. IGNORE these guys when they knock at your door. Find a local company who really cares and who you can actually get ahold of. These guys are in way over their heads and don't have a clue how to run a business. You don't serve an enormous area from one depot in Mississauga, refuse to send anyone but the regular person out even when that person is behind, then have no one available at customer service. Waste of time.

Dr. Green lawn care (http://www.doctorgreen.com/ ) are crooks. They provide services that were not requested, and then expect you to pay for them. These guys are nasty. First, they discounted the fee to get me to re-sign, then they billed me for the difference. After that, they came and did an additional service that I never requested (what I bought was supposed to include EVERYTHING) and billed me for that too. I ended up telling them if I have to pay for that service, then I'm canceling for next year. They persisted, so I paid and cancelled. Well next year is now this year, and guess who showed up last week? After I explicitly cancelled my contract via email last year. Then I had to fight with them about this latest invoice for a service I didn't ask for. These types of businesses, will do this and then tag your credit record if you don't pay them. STAY AWAY FROM DR. GREEN.

We were visited by a Dr. Green representative explaining us how they can take care of the lawn with the "Very Best recommended plan !!". I paid for the service upfront via a credit card. Till date, only 1 visit ( We don't know whether it took place) was commited and there is no receipt or invoice or customer number or a plan given to us. We are always wondering whether they will or they will not help maintain the lawn. Poor Customer experience.

Save your time and money. DO NOT USE DR GREEN. I'm a 5 year customer of Dr. Green. The first few years were fine. Last year I had to call 5 times to have my aeration and over seeding completed (I started calling in May). Each time I was told it would be done within a week. It wasn't completed until the middle of June. That's way too late in Ontario. Also last year, I spent 2 hours every weekend removing weeds myself. This year (2013) I was ready to cancel the service but was convinced to stay. I was told my aeration and over seeding would be a priority. May 1st I received an email that it would be completed the next day. (yay!!!) It's now May 8th and I'm still waiting. Not only that, I called on May 6th to find out what was going on and was told they were too busy and someone would call me back. 48 hours later no one has called and no one is willing to help me when I call back. I can't even cancel my service.

DO NOT use this service,.. two years, weeds got worse. young guys sent who did the quickest job possible. called to complain and got ignored, didn't pay on time and got a ton of calls and emails. cancelled the service and they just kept coming ( and invoicing_) cancelled AGAIN last fall and now am finding that they have come back. left a sign but no bill or note.. called to cancel again and after a lengthy time on hold. got.."give us a number to call you back" didn't even ask what the nature of the call was. We have had lawn care companies to our property before but never have we been less satisfied with the whole experience than with Dr. Green of Mississauga. They actually promised us that all the weeds would be gone by the third treatment, that we had access to a "lawn specialist" at any time and that we could get a respray any time. Their customer service was combative every time we tried to speak with them, we never did see their "lawn specialist" (although we requested him several times), we had lots of weeds all summer and most of the men that came to spray were able to get out of their truck and then back into it in less than 10 minutes. The lawn was well sprayed only once all summer. It was a BIG waste of money and we would never recommend them to anyone. Further more..... they showed up out of the blue this spring and it was only by luck that we were home to send them away. We were told that we had to call them to cancel our service from LAST YEAR, as they subscribe to a "negative marketing" plan which is deceitful and was never mentioned last year. They have returned three times in three weeks to spray (which is better service than we received last summer) and I have been on the phone four times trying to cancel the service. They keep coming. If you sign up with them be prepared to enjoy your weeds for the season and to be unable to be finished with them next year.

Great sales people. Horrible customer service. Cancelled service by phone. Came and did the service a week later anyway and invoiced me. Now I have to wait a week while they investigate their phone history. Agent says I didn't call in! Very unhelpful and hung up when I said a week was unacceptable. Avoid them at all costs.

Last year I hired Dr. Green Lawn Care Services and after 2.5 months of receiving services my lawn looked awful! Then I decided to do it myself and I bought high quality Fertilizer and high quality Coated Grass Seed and in 3 weeks my grass looked beautiful! perfect! and everything thanks to myself not to Dr. Green. Last week (April 11, 2013) a sales representative visited my home and my wife told him we were not intersted in the service for this season and today (April 17, 2013) a specialist visited my home, fertilized my lawn and leave an invoice for $ 48. Dr. Green did not send to me a notification of the visit 24hr before as they ususally did last year which would have allowed me enough time to call and cancel or closed my customer account and suspend the visit avoiding that invoice. They have an automatic renewal in their system and they can charge whatever they want! So now they pretend I pay that invoice. This is really a very bad services and worst administrative control.

Brutal. One depot in missisauga that services a crazy size area. Burned lawn. very difficult biz model that does not allow the same techs to come to the property. Missed a section of the property EVERY time. failed to attend follow ups or did not give notice. Worked with them for 2 years to try and give them a chance. poor Biz model not the people.

I followed all instructions as specified and watered my grass regularly , as that was what i was told to take care of however entire Summer my lawn looked really bad with bald patches and no where close to the photographs shown on the website or what was promised . all applications were done randomly and not evenly . weed removal spray was not apllied evenly and had to request for re application many times . very unprofessional ... there was no difference made to my lawn before or after hiring them . even after repeated instructions that application should only be done after ringing the bell and letting us know that they are on our property , requests were not followed. This year they ever had the guts to come back and put fertilizer on our lawn without permission / authorisation and even after we gave clear instructions that we do not want to continue the service this year . Highly unprofessional !
