Green Side Up Contracting

UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW:

Do not hire this company.

While I remain satisfied with the structural integrity of my deck and the beauty of it, my project contained an unknown deficiency: wiring for my deck electrical was left exposed underneath, allowing animals who dug under the fence from my neighbour's side to chew through the wiring.

Having come to see the issue, Green Side Up first neglected to contact me back and is now refusing to address the deficiency, saying it is not warrantied, despite that it was not done in line with best practices. They opened my deck up to look at the problem and now will not even come to close it up!!

I shall continue to pursue resolution as required. That said, I don't want anyone else to experience what I have experienced: joy followed by disappointment.

18 months ago I engaged Green Side Up to replace my backyard fence, which had fallen into disrepair. They did a great job and so this year I invited them back to rebuild my deck and complete my backyard paradise.

Mission accomplished!!

My project was not simple: big trees, a yard on a hill, and a very specific creative vision of my own. Jay was very helpful in providing various options to build to my vision. What's more, he connected me with the right people to get drawings done to meet code.

Jay brought in Chase and his crew for the build. Chase and team are very friendly and knowledgeable guys who were super meticulous in their work. My picture-framed deck with chevron-cut cedar boards is PERFECT!
Every angle is exact! When Chase needed my input or decision, he was extremely clear in his communication, shared his creative insights and always helped me understand my options clearly. Chase made sure every detail was looked after and that I got the result I wanted. I would have Chase and the guys back in a heartbeat, because I know I'll get a great job done.
