I hired Royal Impressions to do a number of renovations in my house including completely redoing 3 bathrooms, creating additional storage in my basement/kids’ rooms and completely rebuilding my front porch to name a few. And truthfully, a 10 rating isn’t high enough to describe the experience that I had with Rowan and his team.
Like many people, I have had the misfortune of dealing with some horrific contractors in the past – whether due to overcharging, providing sub-par work, telling me I needed to do work that I did not or leaving my home even worse off than it was – so I was already skeptical and a little gun shy before I ever met Rowan. But from the very first meeting, (which was supposed to be 30 minutes and turned into 3 hours), Rowan and Roy put me completely at ease, they explained everything in detail, they answered all my questions with clarity and simplicity, they dissuaded me from undertaking costly and unnecessary work (that another company had told me was required and of course, at a monstrous price). During that initial meeting, I found them to be knowledgeable, trustworthy, reasonably priced and calming, but I could never have guessed just how much more benefit you get when you hire Royal Impressions.
As expected, every person that Rowan brings onto the job – starting with Amadeu the Project Foreman, to each and every trade, are all professional, courteous and highly skilled. They completed the work on time, on budget and cleaned up after themselves each day (we lived in the house through the renovations). What I didn’t expect, was the length to which Rowan and his team will go to ensure their clients are happy and satisfied. They went so far over and above, I was truly astounded. Rowan spent many days with me, on the weekends, personally helping me select materials like tiles, or fixtures. When I chose a bathtub that I decided I didn’t like after it was installed, Rowan went on his own time and of his own accord, back to the showroom to source new tubs that he thought would work in the space and that I would like, and took pictures to send me. Switching the tub should have been an enormous and expensive undertaking – and with any other contractor it would have been. But Rowan worked with his trade people to figure out how to move the plumbing and wiring around through a small cut out in the ceiling below, so that I didn’t have to pay for the whole bathroom to be redone. And on top of that, when the store refused to take back the old tub, Rowan offered to help me sell it. His colleague Roy created and posted ads. Amadeu and his crew then delivered the tub to the new buyer’s house for me, free of charge!
That is who Rowan is and the level of service you get with Royal Impressions. He treats every client like family. He goes out of his way to help however he can. He holds your hand through the entire process, provides direction, feedback, comfort and reassurance when, like me, you have no idea what you are doing! And following his example and incredible work ethic, every member of his team operates the exact same way. Amadeu assembled all the new furniture I had bought for my kids’ bedrooms after we built storage, added carpeting and painted their rooms. I could cite a hundred more instances of Rowan’s extraordinary generosity, professionalism, quality of workmanship, treatment of the client, and willingness to do whatever it takes to make you happy. But the best example is simply that I will NEVER use anyone other than Royal Impressions again…Rowan, you are stuck with me for life now! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
