Good installation of roof and it held up well during the latest wind stir. I rate it 3 because the workers did not clean the ton of shingle dust and it filled my eaves throughs. Thank God the window cleaners I've had for years, noticed it and took pictures. This way I quickly had the roof swept and eaves throughs cleaned. Thank God I found out before it was too late.
Very bad temper
Chris is the owner of Main Street Roofing. Nadine is his wife who takes care of the bookings and the office. They installed my roof last year. There was an issue which was discovered by the window cleaning company. The shingles were packed solid with the shingle dust.that the workers did not clean/sweep off the roof top and inside theeavesthroughs . I immediately arranged for a company to clean my eavesthroughs. They filled a black garbage bag half full with this shingle dust which was blocking my eavedthroughs. I decided to let Chris The owner know as an F.Y.I. I was not asking for anything but simply an F.Y.I. The owner comes across as a lovely well mannered 60 year old man and soft spoken. I never ever thought that 2 minutes into the call, still not yet told him my story, that he would ACT like a mad man. He is not soft spoken and has a temper that appeared to be vicious over the phone. He did not let me finish because all I was calling him for is to let him know. He yelled and called me names. I did not reciprocate other than advising him that he needs to see a mental health doctor. He kept insisting on me giving him my address. I would not because if he had been listening to me at the beginning of the call and if he had stopped to think for one second instead of repeatedly asking for my address he would not have left me speechless, my heart racing, sick in the stomach and feeling so threatened. So minutes after he emptied himself out upon me his wife called. He came on and said sorry and that he would come out. I told him not to come anywhere near this house. Nadine then spoke to me and I had the opportunity to tell her that ALL I wanted was to let him know. Well, unfortunately she was not willing to understand that this behaviour is not acceptable. Therefore the reason that I am memorializing all this so that if he does this to somebody else, you will know that this is his "NEW STYLE". Nadine said she will pay for my eavesthrough cleaning. I told her that never ever was i looking for compensation but rather to let him know. I told her that i DON'T need her money. All i wanted was to let him know so that future customers will not have to deal with the dreadful consequences of leaks from blocked shingles. Oh no. Not her workers. They are professionals and they trust them. I was dismayed when she wanted to know why i was complaining after 6 months. Well because i do not make a habit of taking strolls on my roof top. I wouldn't have known till i sprung a leak had the window cleaners not pointed it out. Imagine if I had a problem that he needed to return to fix. So is Chris starting to have aggression issues? I don't know. All I know is that I hired him over 3 other quotes because I saw an honest man in him. A man of no extra words of fluff. A decent human being. What he did today is way off the charts. I trust that this review will give him a chance to be honest with himself and not let it happen again. Chris I forgive you. Chris treat people, even those who are not nice, the way you would wish someone to treat your wife. I am someone's loved one as well and you disturbed me tremendously.
