When our bathroom exhaust fan died, and with our usual electrician having moved away, we were left with the challenge of finding a trustworthy, capable professional to take on the job. After having spoken with several contractors listed on HomeStars and elsewhere online, we decided to try Hooman (H Man Electric)—and I’m glad we did.

Soon after removing the old fan, he quickly discovered that the duct had separated, which meant that hot, humid air had been venting into the attic, causing some warping of the ceiling. He showed me the issue, and immediately went to Home Depot to purchase a replacement length of duct, along with clamps to secure it.

What really surprised us at this point was that although Hooman had already quoted us a competitive price for the initial job, he didn’t charge us more for the additional time and labour he spent with getting the replacement parts and going into the attic to install them. Hooman charged us only the nominal cost he paid for the parts, and gave us the receipt for reference.

By the time Hooman had finished replacing the fan and upgrading the duct, he had meticulously cleaned up the area where he’d been working, which had been covered with debris of all sizes and materials.

Hooman is polite and professional, and we’ll be calling on him for future electrical projects—as well as recommending him highly.
