We had Abbey Lock Service instal a deadlock for us in 2010. At first we thought that their service was OK, not great and then the lock failed. For a product with such a high price tag we figured we were making an investment that would last 25 years. Within a year the lock had failed, according to the rude gentleman at Abbey Locks because it had been "overturned". I mean really - how do you over turn a lock?!!? Anyhow, a replacement of internal parts was done under warranty and we were out of pocket for the call out and labour charge. Inside another year the lock broke AGAIN. When we tried to talk to the owner of Abbey Locks about how obsurd this was he supposedly referred us to the lock manufacturer, who of course never contacted us. We gave up eventually and hired another locksmith. On taking the lock apart to fix it the other locksmith advised that the internal parts were not the correct size and the repair had been kind of fudged. Supremely annoyed and glad to discourage anyone from using this company despite the decent Homestars score which suckered us in the first time around. Avoid this company at all cost!

The lock was installed correctly as it was a double cylinder deadbolt
Keyed both sides of the door, Opon completion I spent several minutes with the customer watching how far she was rotating the key, she was satisfied with the lock and appeared very pleasant to deal with she told me her family was moving to Australia for a year and that they would be renting the house out to anther couple, after a few months I was called out to repair this Lock, as it was under warranty there was no charge We explained to the renters that the key was being overturned so we showed that to lock the deadbolt all it took was a quarter turn to fully lock it to unlock the deadbol;t was a half a turn, As this was a recurring problem i contacted the Manufacturers Rep who ad vised me that he would rectify this by providing a replacement. I can only assume he never showed up, Hence the customers complaint.

I had a great feel for this company from the first time Tony came to quote for us, how promptly he got the quote to us and handled our follow up questions, the level of communication during the job and follow up after the job to check we were satisfied with everything. The tradesmen who came to do the work were courteous and cleaned up well after the job. Westwood's price was very competitive. I'd highly recommend this company to friends and family.

Easterbrook Brothers installed a new furnace, air con and water tank at our home. We found their price very competitive and the after sales service very good. Their tradesman were very accommodating when we requested an additional vent into a bathroom basement mid way through the job. They also stayed on site until everything was fully operational (job completed in November so operational furnace same day job commenced was essential). We would recommend this family run business to our own family.

Steve, of Kara Painting, has been excellent right from the first quote, through the communication leading up to the scheduling of the job. We are really pleased with the quality of the work and will definitely have Steve return for further work at our home.
