I recently had my kitchen floor, backsplash, and countertop replaced, and contacted a number of companies on Homestars to quote on the work. Vule was the only one to actually come to my house to look at it before quoting, and his quote was the best of the bunch. I especially appreciated that he really listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions about the work, and advised me ahead of time of potential issues which he couldn't determine until he started the work. He and his helpers showed up every day on time, worked diligently through the day, and cleaned up nicely after the day was done. He did the demolition on the floor and backsplash in only 2 days, then layed the tile on the floor and grouted in another 2 days. There was a wait until I could get the new countertop installed (a different company -- Vule doesn't do countertops). Once that happened, Vule returned and with the same efficiency completed the backsplash tiles in another 2 days. I couldn't be happier with the result. Vule was a wonderful person to work with, not just because he is a great craftsman with outstanding work ethic, but because he is a truly nice person. I highly recommend him for any and all tile work you need.

This is the second time I've used Mr. Electric for work on my home and once again they did an excellent job. Rob, Ariel, and Steve worked over 2 days to upgrade my service to 200A. They made all the arrangements with Toronto Hydro for turning the power off, mounting the new mast, inspection of the job, and turning power on again. They even figured out a way to mount the new meter box without cutting major holes into the stucco, which I greatly appreciated. Once that was done, they hooked up an EV charger, again without cutting major holes. They were extremely pleasant to work with and even came back when I thought something had gone wrong (it hadn't). These guys are awesome. I will definitely use them again.

I contacted Mr Electric to install electricity to my garden shed plus an extra 240 outlet in my garage and lighting in my basement. Greg came to my home and did a very good assessment of the work, answered all my questions, and provided a written quote. I ended up only asking for part of the work to be done, but it was still done exactly as quoted and in a very timely, professional manner. Steven and Farham did a great job with the installation and even helped do a bit of MacGyver-ing to get a light fixture I bought to mount properly on my front porch. Great service! Will definitely use them again.

I'm very late in giving a well-deserved recommendation for Exterior by Design Stucco and Stone. I contracted with them in 2018 to do a full update on the outside of my 1955 bungalow. They did everything...stucco and stone all around, replaced the back deck, laid patio stones, refaced the front porch with stone, new front and side door, and new garage door. The work was excellent and though there were delays due to weather, it all ended well and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I feel like I have a new house! David was very responsive to my questions and requests, the price was very fair, and in the two years since I've had the work done he has sent people to do small repairs (chips to the stucco caused by my poor snowblower control and a patch following repair of a burst water pipe) at no charge. I highly recommend them and in fact have recommended him to friends who will be having him do similar work on their home in the fall.

Thank you so much Laura for you kind words , it's well appreciated specially coming from a special person like you who volunteer working to help animals in distress and for the wonderful work you did in Australia helping injured animals after the fire. Keep the good work . Best wishes. David

I have used New Canadian Plumbing many times. I find them very fast to respond, they don't charge extra for after hours visits, and are very clear about pricing. Tonight Raymond Wong was my excellent service person and cleared a clogged toilet quickly. As well, I didn't call for service until after 5:00 and although all of the plumbers were on calls at the time, I still got service by 7:00. I can't recommend New Canadian Plumbing more highly.

Contacted Philip at PMT and two other suppliers on Homestars for a quote to clean the inside and outside of my bungalow's windows windows. Philip answered right away, provided the *lowest* quote which included cleaning screens (others charged extra), and was able to schedule me within two days, even working around my schedule constraints. The crew showed up right on time, was pleasant, efficient, and did a great job. Philip even went on my roof to check my gutters, and pronounced everything A-OK (no effort to upsell a service I didn't need). I was really impressed, having hired a different company in the past that bent screens and made a general mess. I've already recommended PMT to another friend.

I recently moved into a '50s bungalow with a large back yard which had been allowed to get terribly overgrown. I needed someone to tell me what to keep, what to remove, and what to trim, and then design something that delivered a calm elegance while also being relatively low maintenance. I spoke with several landscape architects before I finally found Siuw at Enso Gardens and right away I knew she was the person I wanted. Not only was her aesthetic sense in keeping with mine, but she was so easy to work with that I knew right away that my yard was going to be totally transformed to meet my dreams. First Siuw talked with me about my vision, and offered great suggestions. Then she did the design, and was always willing to make any change I requested, occasionally offering suggestions I hadn't thought of but were much better than my own ideas. She worked within my budget and when my dream started exceeding my finances (too easy to do!), she edited her design accordingly and totally without complaint. Once they started working, Siuw and her crew were there every day, barring weather catastrophes. I was especially pleased to see that Siuw was working alongside the crew, not just telling them what to do and then disappearing (something others I have contracted have done). And she's a perfectionist! I have a water feature that I think she redid 3 times because it didn't look exactly as she envisioned it. Added bonus: my dogs loved her and her crew -- and they, in turn, were all wonderful with the dogs, who hung out with them for hours as they worked. At the end, Siuw walked me through the garden completely, explained how to maintain and prune the plants, and how to decommission the water feature for winter and recommission in the spring. I'm not a great gardener on my own, but she made me feel comfortable that I can take care of this garden the way it deserves. Overall, I couldn't be more thrilled. My back yard is totally transformed, with new plantings, including shrubs to provide privacy, a water feature, a "dry river bed" that gives a lovely focus to one side of the garden, a secondary patio at the back of the yard, and interesting focal points every direction you turn. Mine was their last job before winter so many of the plants they put in were already dormant when they were planted, which means I don't yet have the full sense of what it will look like in-season. But I can see the wonderful design and know it will be absolutely beautiful come spring. Thanks, Siuw!!

Sayra and her crew do an excellent job cleaning my home. They are always on time, get right to work, and perform miracles on a house full of pets and the resultant dirt, fur, drool, and general yuck that animals can cause. Sayra is very responsive to my requests and checks in each time to make sure they have done things exactly as I want it -- which they always do! They are always very pleasant, are efficient with their time, flex when I need something done differently, and generally do a wonderful job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased a home with lots of trees and shrubs that hadn't been pruned in ages. Andrew was quick to respond when I reached out to him and came through with a quote that was very reasonable. On the day of the work, I added a number of extra tasks, including removing of 2 large shrubs and a tree, and he was able to do it all that day, including grinding out the roots and removing a tree grown into the fence -- even temporarily mending the fence until I can do a permanent job! Andrew is so nice, and his crew are absolute sweethearts. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend Re:leaf Group to anyone looking for a very skilled arbourist.

The entire process was perfect. Setting the move up was easy and everyone was very friendly and professional. I liked the fact that they only charge in 15 minute increments, where other companies charge for a full hour even if you only use part. They even asked if they could bring me coffee when they came to do the move! The two guys called me the morning of the move and showed up right on time. They were both very pleasant and kept a great attitude even when my huge Ikea storage unit wouldn't fit out of the door after they had hauled it up the stairs. And they worked quickly, saving me a full hour off of the original estimate, which of course saved me $$. I've already called them for another furniture move and will use them when I move houses in a couple of months.

These guys were awesome! Easy to deal with, fun, honest, and true to their word. We started out doing a full gut reno of a bathroom in my 1920 East York semi. Once the walls came down lots of issues were found, mostly with weird wiring. Vince, Anthony, and their electrician (whose name I forget -- sorry!) worked out a great solution that meant I didn't have any of those ugly round covers on the wall. Tile and glass work was excellent. Of course, those of you who know renos know it's a bit addictive, and once we started on the bathroom, I decided to replace the kitchen floor. Oh, might as well do the backsplash too. Hmmmm...maybe the cabinets as well. Anyway, in the end the whole kitchen was redone too and the work was just as good as in the bathroom. There were a few glitches with scratches and dings in the kitchen cabinet doors, but Vince was right on the supplier and everything was replaced (not repaired!) right away. I'd definitely recommend The Kitchen and Bath Guys, and would use them again.
