We requested a quote from Robin, he arrived as scheduled and was very helpful in determining options for our fireplace insert. Robin walked us through the units that would work and the options for each of them. He provided quotes for 2 models. Robin also provided us some options for a mantle and was able to find a used one that we liked for a decent price. Our installation included the demolition of an existing brick hearth and the installation of floor and wall tile. We were responsible for providing the tile. The only limitation was with respect to the tile options, Fireplace West does not install mosaic tile (if we wanted mosaic we would have to hire a second contractor). Robin and crew arrived on time for the installation which took about 1.5 days. Day 1 was demo, installation of floor tile and Valour fireplace insert. Day 2 was wall tile, mantle, and other finishes. So far the unit looks and works great, lots of heat. We are looking forward to Christmas morning in front of the fireplace!
