Purchased a new home, was delayed 8 months. Did the PDI (numerous issues - builder would not allow exterior to be assessed) and the next day - day of closing the painter came in. (Good thing we were not moving that day). The day after possession they paved the driveway - it has subsequently sunk in more than one place. We have been in the home for 30 days now. We paid for numeorus upgrades including level 3 stairs (wood with stain). There are staple holes in all stairs that were not filled prior to sanding. The stain on the stair is missing totally in some areas. There are a huge number of outstanding issues including a number of Ontario Building code deficiencies confirmed with an independent home inspector and then our local chief building inspector. We have contractual issues that will have to go to small claims court. We have now been in the home for 30 days and can only wonder how Tarion can rate this builder as Excellent.

We purchased a new home and had some pretty major concerns after our PDI. We thought that there may be some building code issues and wanted a professional opinion. Shawn was thorough and knowledgeable. There were some bizarre things in our house and he took the time to research and get back to us the same day. (even sent us some back up articles). He told us to feel free to contact him if we needed his support and that was very reassuring. He found 9 building code infractions in our new home. We would highly recommend him.
