We were trying to replace our kitchen faucet and the old pipes under our sink started to gush water and flood our kitchen. We had no lock off valve for the kitchen sink so we had to turn off our main water shut off to the entire house. We tried phoning many 24/7 emergency plumbing companies, but no one was available and it was late at night, around 1 am. We finally called Ray from R&Z Plumbing and he arrived in 1/2 hour. Ray gave us an up front price for the repair and welding of a new shut off for the pipes, and he completed the work right away. We highly recommend Ray for his prompt response, especially so late at night, reasonable pricing, and great quality of work done. We plan to call Ray for any future plumbing work we need done and will recommend him to family and friends also.

Enrique responded very quickly to my first enquiry with a fast estimate and completed the work the next day. My very tall 40+ year old cherry tree was blocking the sun on my rose garden. Enrique removed many branches and expertly re-shaped the tree to allow a lot more light into my garden. He also trimmed some branches from a nearby crabapple tree that was also shading my garden. Enrique obviously loves his work and showed knowledge of tree care, attention to detail, and took his time to do a thorough and complete job. Throughout his visit, Alex was very pleasant, friendly and courteous, and thoroughly explained every step of the work needed and patiently answered our many questions. He took care of any needed paperwork like city permits, etc. Alex replaced a leaky cracked kitchen drainpipe and kitchen stack, replaced a faulty toilet valve, and replaced all our old deteriorating and blocked clay sewer pipes beneath our finished basement floor with new PVC pipes. Sheridan Nurseries in Markham has a good selection of plants, especially evergreens. Staff is helpful and available. They are a bit pricey but have a good no hassle guarantee on plants.

He extended an existing wood fence to attach a new gate on one side of my backyard, and built another new wood gate on the other side of my backyard. He also installed a wood retaining wall and a short section of chain link fence to replace part of my cedar hedge that had died. We had an old garage door that broke away from our garage wall and collapsed on one side.We found Open Sesame here on HomeStars and called them. Even though it was late evening, Steve returned our call quickly and came over the very next day and repaired the door so we could use it. We decided to purchase a new garage door and new garage door opener as our existing ones were over 30 years old. Steve was very helpful in giving us options and ways to save money . He was very friendly and fun to deal with and never gave us any pressure to buy, and in fact never charged us for the repair of our old door, even before we decided to purchase. The new garage door and opener were installed quickly, as well as the reframing of our wall that was crumbling. Steve and his assistant worked very hard to finish the job in just over a day. We love the new garage door and the opener is quiet and smooth. Steve's workmanship is excellent in quality, and the price charged was very reasonable for the top quality of the products we ordered and the amount of work needed to reframe the wall and install the new garage door and door opener. After calling my regular sprinkler service 5 times over a 4 week period, with no response to my phone messages, I decided to give Green Tropics a try after seeing the good reviews here on Home Stars. Eric replied to my call within 24 hours, and came 2 days later. He quickly diagnosed the faulty solenoid and replaced it right away. He then checked all my sprinklers without being asked, and put in an extender on a sprinkler head that was being blocked by plants, at no extra charge. Eric was friendly and professional and I am definitely going to use him for my fall sprinkler lock off and regular sprinkler service from now on.
