Let me start by saying how much I appreciate Sheraz for knocking on my door despite my do not solicit signs. The signs are meant to deter people from wasting my time and making my dog bark while I work from home. I am so happy that Sheraz wanted to do the right thing and draw my attention to some damage to my roof. Sheraz spotted the damage while working up on a nearby roof and showed me a photo he took on his cellphone. I had already suspected that I might have a problem as I had some discoloration in the ceiling in one of my bedrooms. However, as I could not spot any issues with my roof that was replaced 14 years prior, I thought it could have been due to something called attic rain. Fortunately for me, after pulling my roof warranty and realizing that the prior company had gone out of business, I quickly called Sheraz and started talking about a quote. As he was still in the area and had shingles that matched mine, he offered to do the work a couple hours after knocking on my door! Not only did he patch what he noticed initially, when he went up to that spot, he walked up over my porch roof and found another problem which he also fixed! I will be keeping his business card handy in case any of my neighbors who used the same roofer years ago need someone for their roof in the future. Thank you again Sheraz!

A couple of weeks ago after shutting a window & locking it, I heard the lock leaver pop. I was really surprised because I was not rushing, I did not use any force at all to close it, the temperature was not freezing & the window was only approximately 4 years old. As the leaver had no way for me to take it off as there were no visible entry points into the mechanism, it seemed like something broke inside the mechanism resulting in the window being locked in the shut position (thankfully) until fixed professionally. After contacting Fasada in Oakville who I purchased the VinylBilt windows from, the process was fairly painless. They provided the information to VInylbilt who contacted me fairly quickly & very professionally explained the process of setting up an appointment for a service tech to come to my house. They did explain that there was a service charge even though it was a fairly new window. That was the only disappointing part & why I wouldn't say this was a 5 star situation. I don't like the fact that I had to pay to get something fixed that should not have broken, but if I ever wanted to open that window again, I had no choice. Jonathan from Vinylbilt Windows was great. He was professional, quick, fixed the lock, explained why it broke (something was too tight in another part of the window fitting so he had to replace a couple of other pieces that help open the window).

I understand why they have a five star Google review & their HomeStar ratings are so high! Earlier today around 9am when attempting to do my first load of laundry, there was a huge & sudden leak from the bottom of the washing machine. I checked & realized it was not just loose hose. So I used google to find someone who could come to diagnose and possibly fix the problem with my 13 yr old Kenmore washing machine. The person who took my information was courteous and promised to have somebody show up between 11 AM and 2 PM. As the problem seemed pretty bad to me, I also looked for a local laundromat and then for a new washing machine in case I got bad news. At lunchtime, a very friendly Ilya showed up and quickly took apart my washing machine looking for the problem. He was honest and upfront when he realized he had bad news and he apologized when he told me there was a crack at the bottom of the machine. Ilya even took a picture to show me because it was at an awkward angle and told me that it could be fixed but it would be expensive and he apologized again. Before he could say more, I said it’s a 13 year old machine so I think I just should probably buy a new one. He agreed that was a good idea & what he would do in my position. Before he left, Ilya put everything back together and apologized again for not being able to give me better news. I really appreciate the care & prompt service that I received today. I’ve saved the company’s information in case any other 10+ year appliances that I own break down & I need someone to come to tell me honestly what is wrong.
