This company has been my go-to for carpet cleaning because they're able to do work in condos and apartments. I never realized this, but a lot of carpet cleaning companies can't take apartment/condo jobs because most carpet cleaning equipment is mounted on trucks. Alpha has both truck-mounted and portable cleaning machines so they're able to work in any type of home. I've used Alpha twice; the first time was before moving into a townhouse and the second was when I was moving out of a low-rise apartment. Both times, the truck-mounted hoses were able to reach the units but I was glad that the portable machine was an option in case the hoses weren't able to reach. Each time the technicians (Bob and James) have been on-time, friendly, and professional. Corner protectors and booties were used to prevent any damage and cleaning was thorough. Alpha's prices are reasonable and it was easy to schedule an appointment with them.

I purchased a 1100sqft townhouse that had gone through several sloppy DIY paint jobs and decided that the next one was going to be done right. The walls were salmon pink and dark brown and I wanted them repainted white. I contacted a few painting contractors that had solid reputations, but they weren't interested because a townhouse is a "small job". Huascar was willing to take the project and he and his crew did a great job with it. Our initial meeting was a quote and a rundown of Ethereal's process. Huascar emphasized the importance of proper preparation work, which is a key thing I was looking for in a contractor. Part of Ethereal's prep process is to shine a spotlight on each wall so that glaring imperfections are found and fixed before painting begins. My townhouse's walls had been painted several times by DIYers and there were tons of drips and drywall damage that needed to be fixed. Huascar kept me regularly updated over instant messaging with photos and videos of progress. Huascar's passion for his work and attention to detail is fantastic. He noticed that the ceiling edges hadn't been painted and painted them even though it was outside the project scope. Gaps between baseboard heaters and the walls were filled in to make their appearance more seamless. He even painted a breaker box without covering up the original logo on it. Three months later, Huascar did a followup call to check in and see if there had been any issues (there weren't any). In summary, I received great workmanship, communication, and customer service from Ethereal Painters. I essentially handed them the keys to my townhouse and didn't have to worry about the project at all.

I'm a potential first-time home buyer and I had a great experience with Haystack Home Inspections. It made me realize that having an inspection brings a lot of peace of mind to the home-buying process. I contacted Chris about a fairly short-notice condo inspection and he was very accommodating. I thought there wouldn't be much to a condo inspection, but Chris pointed out a lot of things I had never thought to look for. I was present during the inspection and he took the time to answer my (very) numerous questions without ever seeming annoyed or in a rush. He also helped review documents such as strata minutes and depreciation reports that I was provided by the realtor. Chris made recommendations for maintaining the property in the years ahead as well, which I found very helpful. We live in a housing market that—for most of us—is very difficult to get into. There's so much competition and such large amounts of money involved that it often feels like people will only tell you what you want to hear. It's not that way with Chris; he'll be upfront with you and help you weigh the pros and cons of your potential purchase. I ended up not buying the condo but I will absolutely contact Chris again when I'm ready to make another offer on a property. He's courteous, professional, and very thorough.
