I prepaid $89.+hst...$100 One hr. spent here, mostly talking, I essentially paid for almost 3 hrs...$ 281. there was no work to be done or anything to fix. All that was said in over an hour could have been said in 15 minutes.. The first hour prepaid is misleading

Approximate cost of services:

Company Response

Dear Ms Shore:
Thank you for posting your review of our services.
We wanted to take the time to respond to your concerns.

When our customers book their calls with us, there is an $89+HST Travel Charge that is required to be prepaid to the office to secure the appointment.
This prepayment is deducted off of the final invoice once work is completed – which it was for you as well.
All of our customers have the opportunity to decline this from the initial conversation with our company – at the time of booking.

To address your other concern about “no work required”.
As per the invoice, the electrician’s description of work completed is as follows: “Provided labour on December 28, 2017 to complete the electrical work noted below: diagnosed and repaired receptacles in the 2nd floor bedroom; repaired the connection in the receptacle located under the windows.” He also recommended on the invoice that the fixture in the 2nd floor bedroom closet “be replaced to meet ESA codes & standards.”
As part of the service our electricians provide, they try to be as informative with our customers as possible so that our customers feel they have full knowledge of the work that was completed and make a recommendation for any other work that may be required.

As with all of our customers, you have the opportunity to decline the Travel Charge prepayment, cancel with a refund up to 24hrs prior to the service call, and decline the quotation at the time of visit.
We trust that this clarifies and provides value for the money that you spent on your service call.
