We hired this company because of the positive reviews and because it was local. We were very happy with the services they provided. We had them do some of our packing for us. They were efficient and listened well to our instructions of what to pack up. The only downside is how much paper they use...much more packing paper than I would have used and I found it a bit wasteful. But I suppose they are being cautious. The moving team was awesome. They brought four guys and they all worked extremely hard, but just a few short breaks. They had excellent communication skills and placed almost everything exactly where asked. They were very patient with me as I had asked for them to wait to place furniture until I could put felt pads on the bottom. They treated both the old and the new home with respect.

Randy from Basement Technologies met with me to review my options for resolving some leaking we were having in our basement. He spent over an hour and a half reviewing all of the relevant information with me, looking at the pertinent areas of my home, and explaining in detail what my options were. He was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions with great detail. In particular, he was very forthcoming with what obstacles my house presented and what this might mean in terms of what could be found when detailed investigations started. He was clear about pricing of the various options to the best of his ability and noted where price would be unknown until things were discovered upon investigation. Even in these unknown situations, however, he still gave some sense of cost (e.g., cost per square foot). A couple days later, he emailed me a thorough quote outlining the issues he observed int he house, options for moving forward, and costs. Unfortunately, our air conditioner broke down just a few days later, requiring us to put a halt to any waterproofing in the basement due to cost limitations. When I spoke to Randy again on the phone and let him know we could not move ahead with the project, he still spent an additional 15 minutes on the phone answering more questions I had. I was very impressed with his communication skills and his willingness to spend time with me to ensure I understood everything clearly. Once we are ready to invest in this project, we will certainly be calling him again to move ahead with the project. Of note is that we had someone from another company come in to the house as well to provide a quote. The person from the other company only spent 15 minutes at my home, barely looking at the house to determine what the project would entail, and provided very limited information about pricing, only noting that it depended on what was found. While I cannot speak to the actual final product, the customer service and communication was exceptional.

I had Kevin and Tracey out to my house a few months ago to take a look at some kitchen pot lights that kept going out. They were very informative, giving me very detailed information about how the lights worked and what was causing the problem. They provided me with a solution to the issue, noting that it would be unclear if the solution would work in the long term, but that it may work and therefore avoid the need for replacing all of the lights. A few months later, we realized that the solution did not work for us long-term, and therefore asked them to come back and replace all the lights. They were able to come within a few weeks to install all new lighting in the kitchen for us. They were again very information. They gave suggestions on light bulbs we could purchase for other light fixtures in the house based on our preferences and gave information about how best to use the lights and switches they installed. They also took a look at a couple of other minor issues we were having with other lights and provided some solutions without cost. They are very friendly and work efficiently as a team. The only thing I was not 100% satisfied with was that in the process of changing the pot lights, two tiny areas of the ceiling were ruined adjacent to the newly installed lights. While I felt this was a reasonable level of damage and it was not due to mistreatment or poor workmanship, my husband and I are not handy ourselves, and will now have to repair these holes ourselves. Kevin did let me know which product to purchase and how to fix the tiny holes. Based on my experience with other electricians, I feel it is probably typical for them not to do these repairs themselves...though it would have been really really nice had they gone beyond expectations and brought a bit of caulking to do the repairs. We will be sticking with Stack Electric in the future given their quality of work and excellent customer service.
