From on call repair, to repair, to install staff all were honest, hard working, thorough, and friendly. Best experience I've ever had with an HVAC install company and would choose Rick Menard's again. The many positive reviews are true. I like that their staff seem to be rewarded based on good reviews because it's a good incentive for them to be as helpful and thorough as possible, genuinely. Note: If you're wondering if the reason there are so many good reviews is because they offer an incentive to customers - I wasn't offered one (and glad). I'm leaving a review because I'm just that happy and want to make sure good work is recognized/rewarded. I initially called RM's repair service. The weekend on call repairman I spoke with was honest and suggested we wait before having them come out because it was likely our coil was frozen and couldn't be fixed that day, and it's a higher cost to come out on the weekend. JP from repair came out a few days later and was great - thoroughly looked everything over, was careful not to let our elderly indoor cat outside, took his boots off while inside, educated me on the issue, was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. While he did sell us on a new A/C at no point did we feel like that was his goal - he helped us weigh the pros/cons of our choices and come to our own decision. He made sure that the new unit would fit in the small spot where our current unit is, so we wouldn't need to cut the deck or do any major changes to the yard - a huge thank you to him for that since that easily could have been overlooked. It's a busy time of year so it did take a bit to get the team scheduled and I'm grateful for Luc's help and the team's flexibility to schedule install of the new unit as soon as possible. Nick and Nick came out to install - showed up early, worked incredibly hard to install the unit, thoroughly tested it, explained everything thoroughly, answered my many questions, cleaned up after themselves and finished up early. Nick the helper was great and fixed an issue caused by the water heater install company that could have caused a carbon monoxide leak into our home. (Thank you Nick!) Nick the technician was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout - explaining to me what they were doing and why it was important. I had no idea A/C installs were so complicated but now I do and its all about safety! I wasn't sure how to get the manual and warranty so I emailed Stephanie the admin assistant. She was great and even registered the A/C and coil warranties with the companies for us, and sent us a copy. My only constructive feedback is the installers weren't given a clear copy of the sales agreement, which led to a missing item for the install (pump). The copy they had was very dark and cut off so the installers didn't know they were to bring the pump and would have needed to go all the way to Orleans to get it. Nick the technician was great on his feet and adjusted to solve the need for this item without needing to go to get the missing item (thank you Nick!) But RM might consider ensuring the installers get a clear copy of the sales order to avoid a repeat scenario :) RM might also consider providing protective carpet runners for the installers instead of the booties. That might make their job a little easier with all the back and forth inside and out they need to do, and may help keep customer floors/carpets cleaner. Overall - great service from repair to install and would trust these guys again.

Ordered from lowes.ca and fulfilled for delivery by Nepean and Orleans stores. Not once, but twice, was the wrong item sent. They sent cheaper model x3 initially. Called, had to go through return process before they could ship new ones out. Went through that, got replacements, and they sent cheaper model yet again. Still waiting to go through the return process for that and in the meantime I'm out the money. Agent on phone said they'd follow up, Didn't. Get a random call a week later from someone else who was rude and unhelpful. Also took over a week for other items for delivery to ship.

My husband and I recently bought a home, and through the process Alain Charron from Property Inspection Network was extremely helpful. He did the initial inspection, provided us with a written report at the end, and then followed up with emailed pictures of the concerns he found. Julie, who we booked with at the office, also very responsive, helpful, and patient. Once we moved in, we found some potential concerns that the sellers had hidden from view well. We asked Alain if he would come back out to help us understand what we were seeing. Alain kindly returned (on a holiday!), walked through our concerns with us and put our minds at ease (while scary looking, the concerns were found to only be cosmetic/minor annoyances and easy fixes). I would highly recommend Alain, and PIN for their services. We are very thankful for his help, clarity, and patience with us!

We just bought a townhouse where the owners had pets and the ducts were filthy. Based on reviews here, we booked with Ottawa duct cleaning for duct, furnace and dryer vent cleaning. The guys came out on time, took before/after pictures for us, emailed them, explained everything, protected the floor, worked swiftly and were very helpful. Roger even explained some potential challenges we could have in the future and how we might address them. I have never been happier with a duct cleaning service that these guys. Would definitely recommend. Thanks guys for your help!

Several days ago I was cleaning out my garage, and came across a cardboard box that contained a hive of bees. While I needed them to not be in my garage as I am selling my house, I did not want to see them harmed, but was at a loss of what to do. I searched google, and stumbled across a Kijiji posting offering to take honey bees for free. I contacted the poster and George from Niagara BeeWay came out within a few days and took them. I can't explain how thankful I am to George, and since he would not accept money I thought the least I could do was to thank him and his organization publicly for the great work they do and for helping to avoid harming the bees. Thank you again - good karma to you sir!

When our main water supply into our basement was leaking, it was 11pm and not many plumbers were available and we weren't sure what to do. Our house is older, and we were afraid to touch anything for fear of making it worse. We called Ideal, and they were able to come out after hours. The plumber showed up and was very nice, and proceeded to tighten the loose connection that was the cause of the leak! He explained at that point that he felt bad charging us the full emergency night rate (which was still reasonable), and took a bit off of it. He was good dealing with our embarrassment of not knowing we could fix this ourselves, and was very kind, especially for being that late at night and being on call. We were very happy with Ideal, and the next time we need a plumber, we will be sure to call them!

Sharing since it's so rare to find such a great contractor. I don't say this lightly - anyone looking for an expert job on plaster/drywall/parging/stucco and textured ceilings Elio does an amazing job!! He and his assistant Pete came in on time, exactly as quoted, and were fast, clean, and very professional. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work needing to be done. What would have taken us weeks to do, he and Pete did in a morning. Hard to find good contractors these days - Elio is amazing at what he does!
