I hired Kirk to install a tankless water heater. A job that I thought would maybe take a couple of hours ended up taking almost a couple of weeks, resulting in no solution. He drilled a hole through the joist to install an intake hose, which did not work. When he left he promised that everything was working as it should. However that day and many days after I was unable to get hot water. This was extremely stressful for me and my household as I also run a daycare in my home. Of course because I wasn't getting hot water, I had to call him to come over again and again with the same result, and him promising me that this issue was fixed. After a week and a half, Kirk admitted that he didn't know what else to try to fix the issue and encouraged me to reach out to another company to fix the issue. He added that he will remove everything including the tank and will refund me my money as he wasn't able to complete the job. I hired another company who found out that Kirk had made a plug out of the wiring of the light switch. What this means is that when you turned off the light it would also turn off the hot water. The company that had found the issue was able to set up a tankless water heater for me and now I have hot water. I informed Kirk about his mistake, which he took full ownership of. He told me that he would refund me the full amount of $2000. We are now approaching the third week and I still haven't received my money to pay the company that did the job that Kirk was unable to do. He is currently holding $1000 of my money and refusing to refund it back to me. In my opinion, I find him to be very dishonest.
