French Drain to Combat Hydrostatic Pressure in Foundation Floor
I discovered that my house is on the floodplain and the recent heavy rains have made my basement very humid. At worst, I might soak up a mop-full of water from the floor. Since my plans are to finish the basement, I had 3 quotes given by the more popular specialists. The Crack Specialists, Wes, was the obvious choice. The other quotes were all very similar, however, Wes evaluated the situation and considered my observations and recommended a shorter Drain with its own sump pump. Other quotes planned a longer/expensive drain to tie into the existing sump pump. Wes' team was excellent: Trevor, Steve and Ron all arrived on a timely basis, polite and left the area very clean. They finished the work very quickly. So far so good! Thank you also to Lorri and Tod who have been wonderful to work with in respect to planning and inspecting the final project.
