I am not one to do reviews, but I feel that my experience with the above company has been a confusing and frustrating one. I first had my hardwood floors done on April 7,2011. I was very excited all the pictures I saw of Mr. Sandless' work looked great and I was hoping for something beautiful. My home is 8 years old, we are the original owners, I have no pets, but 2 children. My whole downstairs is hardwood, but the kitchen, so it was alot. When they completed the job I noticed how bad it was streaked, me not being a pro at floors assumed maybe they were still wet? Not the case. They came back and examined them, I was told it was a bad "batch" it could not be fixed without stripping them. So they did and did the process again. I had an army of guys here, at least 6. There was more talking and smoking going on than anything else, but whatever. They leave, that night I see so many areas they missed and a footprint. I call them, they come out and fix some of the areas. I have come to the conclusion that the patch jobs do not look good at all. By now we are 3 weeks into dealing with them and my husband and I decide they don't look great (still streaked and spotty) but we are going to live with it. One week passes, I notice so many scratches. I mean unbelievable! When my husband and I really look at it we notice the floors are not scratch, but that the top seal coat is scratching off and in one area the floor was turning whitish. Call them again, ask to please send an owner. They do and he says the whitish mark concerns him and does not know what it is. He says the scratches were probably always there and with their product are now more noticable. But why did I not see that for a week later, and it is the seal coming up. When I touched it to show him he said don't peel it ! Well, I am not losing my mind, the stuff is not adhering and I am trying to show him. Owner said his office would contact me that day or the next. Never hear back. I call a week later and am told by manager that it was a bad batch (again) and they ordered more and would be back out. Called again today (a week after I was told that) asked if it came in yet, no it did not maybe by Friday. Told the manager that I have another spot that is peeling off. It first turned whitish again and peeled. My floor under actually looks so much better than what they have on it. Told her that maybe they should just strip them and be done. I do not like how their product works on our floor. I was told that because our floors are dark it will show the streaks from their product. That most people have light floor and they would not see that. I don't know. I do know this though, after I called today and asking again if the stuff came in and that now it is peeling in another spot, you would think the owner that came out would have gotten on the phone with me. He was talking through the manager to me. I just think that says alot about a company. I am in limbo right now. I am hoping for some remedy in the future. I did notice that my check for $2135.00 was cashed the day after service. They were quick to do that, hope it is being enjoyed because my floors were not worth that money. I live in a nice neighborhood and my neighbors have seen my floors and even they were shocked. I don't think they will be making any money off of anyone who sees my floors. Hopefully by the end of this nightmare, I will be able to write back something postive? I would say if your floors are dark (mine are cherry) it will show streaks and anything that they missed. Not to mention they got the product on my walls and I had to re paint. Fun Fun Fun! This is why I hate to pay people to do things and why my husband and I do most things ourselves.
