Selected this company after meeting a few others, they were mid range in price but were able to start immediately which was important for us. The job started well he was there every day until the job was complete which was done in the time specified during the quote.
Upon 'completion' we pointed out that there was stain and damage from the sander in various areas of the house including high up on doors and walls. There was also around 100 small bumps in the floor that looked to be caused by sand that clumped together with the stain.
Upon asking to have these things fixed they sent out a sub contractor who removed the bumps with his fingernails which obviously left the floors not perfectly smooth.
At this point the tape was also removed which revealed all of the baseboards had been damaged and needed to be repainted. When this was brought up the response was 'everyone knows your baseboards will get damaged, that is the best that could be done.' The approximate cost to have the baseboards sanded (because the paint will not adhere to the stain) and re-painted was almost half the cost of refinishing the floors in the first place. The photos attached show some of the damage.
We also asked to have the 2 75 Lb bags of garbage removed at the end of the job to which the response was 'we never stated we remove our garbage that will cost hundreds of dollars.' No such thing was ever stated or claimed. The city will not remove garbage of this size and we still are unsure of how to dispose of them.
This is all of course after having been paid in full. I'm sure there are worse stories out there but would not use this company again or recommend the to anyone.
