Had an appointment to have my furnace and air con serviced for maintenance. Chose Novelcare based on other reviews on Homestars. Jake was professional and helped me navigate the trials of new home-ownership by offering advice on a number of heating and cooling issues. I will be contacting the company to look into a maintenance contract as well as options to keep our very hot top floor cool in the summer. Thanks!!

I called Mohamed this morning after finding what looked like a bug on my sheets. Even though it is the "buggy" time of year and my husband and I had recently been near water and were bitten around the ankles and wrists, I was still terrified that we had bed bugs. Mohamed asked me to text him a photo of the bug- he could have suggested an on site call, but instead he was willing to do an initial assessment based on a couple of pictures that I took. He determined that it was not a bed bug and put my mind at ease. Anyone who is worried about being ripped off or taken advantage of should call this company. I hope that I don't ever need his services, but if I do (or if anyone I know is looking for an honest expert), I wouldn't hesitate to call. Thank you, Mohamed!

Baker Street did an incredible job with our pre-purchase home inspection, but what was even more amazing was their help 10 months after moving in! We had a problem in our home that we couldn't quite diagnose. After several VERY helpful emails, Jeff from Baker Street did an on-site visit to help us determine the problem. He was thorough, patient and, after an initial suspicion regarding what was causing the problem (ice dam) he gave me his personal number to call him as soon as the problem recurs so that he can come by immediately to determine the exact spot. Exceptional customer service!! DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL for any problem solving issues, inspections or even renovation coaching (how brilliant is THAT???). Thank you to everyone at Baker Street. I wouldn't consider doing ANY work on our home without first consulting with this amazing company.

I was extremely anxious and upset to see a small puddle under my skylight this afternoon. I called Dennis at Skylights Unlimited immediately to plead for some help asap. Instead of charging me for a visit, Dennis patiently asked some clarifying questions and deduced that the water was likely condensation from the fast overnight drop in temperature. He suggested that I monitor the skylight over the weekend, when rain is expected. He also offered a number of suggestions to keep the humidity down in my home. I hope to never have a skylight leak/emergency, but if I do, Skylights Unlimited will be my first call. Thank you, Dennis!

INTEGRITY is the only word that I can think of to describe Paul. As a new homeowner, I am overwhelmed by the home-maintenance learning curve. I called Paul, the Drywall Doctor after having my ceiling repaired by another company. I was concerned about mold and water damage from not having dried out my ceiling before sealing it up. I was more than prepared to have Paul open my ceiling and redo the work. Instead, Paul reassured me (based on my description) that the water had likely evaporated. He suggested that I rent or purchase a mold kit to ease my concerns and made it clear that he was available to come assess the problem should a need arise, after mold testing is done. Paul spent almost 20 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through all of my options when he could easily have charged me for a visit. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment recommending him for any drywall work needed. Honesty, kindness and integrity are rare finds these days!
