First Review

1/10

I bought these 10's at the same time as a pair of Bose 301's for a 5.1 home theater system. The Bose still play fine after more than 10 years but the 10's are the pits. I have a pair of Sansui SP5500X's that blow all of them out of the water and they're over 35 years old with never having anything done to them. The BP-10s have plastic cones and from what I've been reading this is not the best. The speakers in the BP-10s all have the correct ohm readings and according to the tech at Definitive I need an oscilloscope in order to check the crossover hardware. He also suggested I could buy four new speakers at 70 bucks each to fix the 10's. I would go out and buy another set of Bose before I buy any more plastic fantastics from Definitive. At least the Bose do have the paper cones that time has proven to be the best for sound reproduction.
