Have used Dan Mac quite a few times in the past but the most recent time was a huge disappointment. We called regarding a plugged toilet drain that was causing flooding in the basement. Their plumber came out, removed the 2nd floor toilet and snaked the drain. Believing the line had been cleared he reinstalled the toilet and we paid the $550 bill. Next morning while my daughter was showering there was a huge amount of water pouring in the basement from the same line that had been snaked the night before. Called Dan Mac who sent out a different plumber. This time he removed the Powder Room toilet and snaked from there. It was a long process but eventually he seemed to unblock the line. Presented us with a $700 bill. I did not authorize the payment to be put on our credit card and requested the owner give me a call to discuss. The following day, again the drain was showing signs of blockage and they sent a 3rd plumber out, this time with a camera. Using the camera he was able to see where the blockage was and it was snaked and cleared. No bill was given to us for that visit. Several days later we saw that they had gone ahead and processed the payment of $700. So now we had paid $1250 to clear a blocked drain. Twice I have called the office and asked to speak to Wayne who is one of the owners to discuss. Both times told they would pull my invoice and give me a call back. Have never heard from them. Disappointed that he has never called to discuss. I feel an invoice of $1250 is excessive and if a scope had of been used on the initial visit the following 2 visits would not have been necessary, nor would we have lost the items we had to throw out due to being soaked with less than clean water. We had no issues with any of the 3 plumbers who came out, all were nice guys, but the final cost is not acceptable and Dan Mac's lack of willingness to return my calls to discuss are not very professional.

I don't recall being unsatisfied with any of technicians who have come to the house from enercare, but will say that the most recent technician (Alphonso) stood out as the best we have had. He was very friendly, followed the Covid guidelines. Came for an annual inspection but saw a major problem with the furnace, explained what was happening and then went ahead and fixed it. He was here for over 2 hours and did a very thorough job. Left everything neat and tidy. Couldn't have asked for anything more from the guy. He was great.

Brown Windows installed 7 windows across the back of our house a number of years ago. Within the first couple years 3 of the seals failed resulting in grayish discolouration around the perimeter of the window. They replaced those at a partial cost to me. Since then all of the windows have failed. And they wouldn't do anything about it. Apparently the spacers they used between the panes of glass were inferior. Since they knew that I think they should have been willing to replace the other windows. The worst quality windows I have ever seen.
