It is very difficult to reach Grand Alarms. Their phones constantly have a long wait time. If you decide to leave a voicemail, do not expect to get a reply. Their email response times are very slow as well. Once you do reach a person though, they are friendly and helpful. With that said, if they do not care about bringing on new customers, I am concerned about their service for existing customers, especially those on contract. When installing our alarm system, we had to have two separate visits because the technician did not have the right sensors in stock, even though I requested that they do well in advance. After both visits, I had to make follow up phone calls to Grand Alarms to ensure all the tasks were completed (I was waiting for more than a week after each visit without any news). Since the installation troubles, everything has been working smoothly. They do require that you sign on a contract, but their monthly fees are reasonable and you save a lot in the cost of the hardware. Grand Alarms is good when you can reach someone to talk to.
