It is very difficult to reach Grand Alarms. Their phones constantly have a long wait time. If you decide to leave a voicemail, do not expect to get a reply. Their email response times are very slow as well. Once you do reach a person though, they are friendly and helpful. With that said, if they do not care about bringing on new customers, I am concerned about their service for existing customers, especially those on contract. When installing our alarm system, we had to have two separate visits because the technician did not have the right sensors in stock, even though I requested that they do well in advance. After both visits, I had to make follow up phone calls to Grand Alarms to ensure all the tasks were completed (I was waiting for more than a week after each visit without any news). Since the installation troubles, everything has been working smoothly. They do require that you sign on a contract, but their monthly fees are reasonable and you save a lot in the cost of the hardware. Grand Alarms is good when you can reach someone to talk to.

I got several lock cylinders rekeyed last year. There was a problem with rekeying one of them, and they provided me a discount to purchase a new lock cylinder. Even though I came at a time when they were understaffed, the representatives were both friendly, patient, and took care of my situation. Their prices are reasonable, and the turnaround time is great. I also had a nice chat with the receptionist about her pet snake!

New Age representatives are helpful and informative. I called them to install a small security system, but decided that it was too expensive. Later, I recommended them to my family who did end up going with them. They did a fantastic job with the wiring, installation, and everything was professionally done with good customer service after the project is complete. You get what you pay for.

Found Pillar To Post as a recommendation from our real estate agent. They have plenty of home inspectors and we chose to go with Aaron. (They are all rated on their company website.) He arrived promptly as scheduled, was professional, thorough, and we felt safe and secure with his evaluations. He took time to explain the details and go over everything. Definitely recommended.

I was looking for a cleaner to come to my house regularly. I have tried contacting a couple dozens of Kijiji ads and for various reasons, they usually don't work out. Mopify made the scheduling, payment, and "onboarding" process easy and simple. My only complaint is that the hourly rate is very expensive. I have since moved on to another service provider.

Rahul from AccuServ came in to service my AC unit. He was very professional, friendly, and informative. He clearly explained the state of my equipment and any fixes that were recommended, in enough detail for me to make an informed decision yet without being overwhelmed with information. He even went above what I expected in the service call by also taking a quick look at my water tank and furnace, and provided some insight on issues I may encounter in the future and recommended solutions as well, without pressuring me to pursue any of them. I am very comfortable with recommending AccuServ to any other homeowners.

EDIT: Had to drop my rating. Over the course of the months after Canaduct came to visit, we found many vents damaged. Some of our vents were screwed into drywall, which already cannot and should not be adjusted too many times. They handled opening and closing the vents (sometimes even just bending the metal slits away) way too roughly and with little care. If this just happened with one or two vents, fine. But I have noticed this on several. We recently moved into our home and wanted to ensure everything was clean and in working order. Duct cleaning was one of those tasks and so we called Canaduct. Everything went smoothly from scheduling the appointment through to the final payment. There were no surprise costs or "problems", Paul and his partner arrived on time and were efficient with their work. The whole job including a duct sanitization took around 1 hour to complete in our townhouse. Would definitely recommend!

HurraHome is one of a handful of platforms that act as a middle man between you and home cleaners. Using a platform such as this has its costs, but I believe the benefits provided by HurraHome are very valuable. From the background checks to the liability insurance to the online payments, HurraHome has made the entire house cleaning process much easier for me. To add to this, their hourly rates are still well within reason. I've done hours of searching and trials of cleaners from Kijiji. None of them worked out and almost all of them charge more. Their cleaners are detailed, flexible, and responsive. The customer service is quick, informative, and friendly. Highly recommended!
