Second time working with Thuy at Concore. She designed my new kitchen, and did the cabinets, countertops and sink installation. Beautiful work, professionally done. Thuy is a joy to work with. Higly recommended.

We contacted Alex to remove damaged fencing due to a windstorm, and to replace our backyard fence. His work is very well done. Alex gave us a beautiful fence, he communicated everything clearly, and he is professional, detail oriented and kind. We highly recommend him.

We had one of the larger energy companies come and change our gas metre. In the process, they found a gas leak and tagged our furnace. It was stressful because they shut off the gas due to the leak and we were looking for a gas tech at 7 pm on a Friday night! Luckily we found Alex. We called him Friday night and Saturday morning he was here bright and early. Fixed the problem, checked that our gas appliances were on and working properly, filled out the paperwork and it was done. Polite, professional, and efficient. Highly recommended.

Valentin did our basement plumbing and our backwater valve install. We have used Valentin as our plumber for about a decade, for jobs large and small, and he is great. He will be prompt, he will tell you your options and he will not overcharge you. Highly recommended.

Concore did our countertops and bar sink. They were very professional and friendly to work with. Their price was very fair and the installation went without a hitch. Great job! We will use them again.

Ulticlean came and cleaned the carpets at our east end home. They were friendly, polite and professional and they did a thorough job. Thanks very much guys! We will use them again.

Peter is prompt, professional and goes out of his way to educate his customers about how to maintain their appliances. You can't ask for anything more in a repair service.

Richard installed our Rudd furnace at our first property and we have had no issues with it. He recently installed a second Rudd at our other property. Today there was an issue with loose wiring and he was on the spot, on a Saturday from Mississauga to downtown in 90 minutes. Problem solved. We will not use anyone else to service our furnaces. Highly recommended.

We ordered a Haier fridge a month ago. It is already broken. Called for help. "Anne" said to me in a robotic tone, I will give you the information for the manufacturer. I said, actually I would like an apology or some sense of empathy for selling me a defective fridge that has failed after only one month. She just repeated herself in the same robotic tone. I asked to speak to her manager. She said she did not have one and refused to connect me to the store manager. Horrible way to treat customers.

Vitalii, Vlad and Shon have been terrific. My house is over a century old in downtown Toronto and therefore nothing is level, which makes things challenging. I wanted a window installer who is meticulous and willing to explain things to me along the way. Vitalii is unfailingly polite and clear. We went out to the window manufacturer to look at options for two casement windows. When I asked for a particular design for the window trim, I showed them a photo and Vlad made it happen at a reasonable price. They did a great job and they will be my installers going forward. Highly recommend.

We hired Jason to do our roof in December 2016. The initial quote was $15,000 provided the roof was in good shape when the shingles came off. The roof was not in good shape. There were four layers of shingle (instead of two which is code), the roof had no insulation at all and was re-insulated, the beams and boards were rotten (which explains the leak that started it all) and had to be replaced, the sloped roof had to be re-sloped to stop pooling, and there were two custom skylights that had to be replaced, as well a vents installed, soffet, fascia and eavestroughs redone. Jason called us and explained everything that had to be done, with photos and a revised quote of $28,000. The work went ahead. We hired Peter Yeates our trusty home inspector to review the work and sign off in the end since we do not know anything about roofs. Peter said the work was very well done and flagged one minor issue about an eavestrough. Jason dealt with that to our satisfaction and we are happy.

Colin had his two painters come and out and repair plaster and paint selected walls. We had a lot of water damage in the kitchen wall. We added some walls during the job. The painters were amazing at doing the plaster properly - getting out all the loose plaster and filling in and sanding meticulously. A great job, done quickly. This is the second time we have used Finer Edge and we would not use anyone else.

After ripping off the front porch, we had extensive brick work done on our Victoria house. This was a job that required skilled masonry and a good eye in order to ensure that the new brick on the front of the house matched the old and that the brick that was crumbling in the back was repaired properly. Andy, Brad and Reynaldo were a pleasure to work with. The project was completed on time and on budget. The guys were pleasant and helpful, and Brad was more than willing to explain his estimate and give us a detailed scope of work. We would not use anyone else.

We called in Finer Edge after our contractor messed up the drywall finishing and the painting in our newly renovated basement and prolonged the situation for weeks. Needless to say we were fed up so we called in the professional painters. Finer Edge did a great job, they were fast and reasonable.

Saw Benjamen on Sarah Richardson site as a supplier and decided to give them a try. They are awesome! We painted a vintage dresser to match a contemporary console and even though the styles are completely different it works because of the professional paint job. Everything looks great, good price and 5 years later it is still in good shape. Well worth the money.

Valentin came the same day to unclog my toilet and found out why it was clogging over and over. He changed a part for a reasonable price. We were very happy with his work and his professionalism.

We recently decided to get our house insulated and we also had a tankless hot water heater and a new, energy efficient furnace intsalled by Richard. Based on what I've seen written on the internet, it's clear that tankless hot water heaters are a relatively new technology and that they require a trained professional to install them correctly. Richard was very good at explaining the technology for both the water heater and the furnace options we were looking at. We live in a large, drafty old Victorian house and heating the house evenly has always been a challenge. Richard correctly directed us to a furnace which has 14 different cycles and doesn't alternately blast heat and then shut off. He was great at answering questions and Janice was very prompt in following up. Installatioin was done quickly and professionally. We needed an adjustment done to the water condensation line and Richard did it the very day after we called. We would recommend Coretemp to our friends.

Jeff refinished an art deco table for me. He came and got it from storage and delivered it directly to us when it was complete. It was water stained and now it looks like a new table. His price was fair too. Absolutely lovely work.

I got two quotes on waterproofing my basement. The first quote was to waterproof on the inside using weeping tile and to do minor plumbing and it came in at 6,700 not incl HST. Mud Monkeys quoted the same job at 4,000. Because Mud Mnkeys was so much more reasonable, I opted to waterproof on the outside which is superior and still paid less than the first quote I got. Darby's crew is polie, informative, and just plain nice. A pleasure to have MM working on my home.
