Their representative was very timely in his response and quote. He showed up as expected and worked hard to get a good coat down on the driveway despite significant leaves and wind. Work was done very well and no overages. Will hire them again.

Our kitchen drain was plugged due to an improper item being put down the garburator. The plug was beyond the clean out so I needed professional snaking. In terms of work done and customer service Sewer Squad was exceptional. I called 9pm the night before and spoke to a someone from the firm, not a call answer service. They scheduled an appointment the next morning and the plumber, Josh, showed up on time. I also got a call beforehand to let me know he was on his way and they texted a picture of him so I knew it was him when he arrived. Josh was very respectful and provided a few of quotes. We settled on one and the job was estimated to be done in 2 hours but was done in an hour. Everything was cleaned up and settling the bill by credit card was quick. After Josh left someone called me to ensure I was fully satisfied. I've included before and after pictures, taken by Sewer Squad, in this review. This is the kind of excellent service that makes people want to brag about a company they used, so why did I knock one star off them? Price and sales approach. Josh's first quote included a bunch of unrequested extra services and cost ~$1100. He then proceeded describe other quote options until finally getting to one at $612+tax which did the work I asked for. That would clear the plug and install a 1.5" in-line y-adapter so future cleaning would be easier. I felt that $612 was very high for a 2 hour job with almost no parts. $300/hr is almost twice what I paid for a plumber 2 years ago. As it turned out Josh took only 1 hour to complete the job. The sales approach was to provide a series of quotes, starting with one filled with bells and whistles at a very high cost, and ending with the quote I asked for with a 'reasonable' price. This was not appreciated. Better in my view is to start with a basic quote that meets the customers immediate need, then offer to upsell them on other services. I guess one can consider Sewer Squad a premium plumbing service at a premium price. Nothing wrong with that if that if it is what you are looking for. PS: I think Josh did feel a bit bad for charging so much for such a small job. He gave me a canister of drain cleaner and tested my water pressure for no charge. That was appreciated. Thanks Josh.

Megacity subcontracts their work, and the their subcontractors were great. The work was done fast, looks great, and they were very pleasant to deal with. Pricing was reasonable and in line with my expectations. Project included: - remove and replace asphalt 51' x 17' driveway and installing precast concrete curbs along the side - removing old/sunken concrete walkway steps of approximately 63' - removing, releveling and replacing interlock on patio - removal of a basket ball pole and its embedded concrete base Everything was done to my satisfaction and its getting great reviews from our neighbours. One star was taken away because client communication could be better. I needed to be proactive in determining work and meeting times. There were occurrences of a whole paving crew arriving without notification (fortunately I was still home and could move car off driveway) and another when a rep was coming to my house at an agreed time but did not show up, nor tell me he knew he was not coming. I happen to be retired so this was more of an annoyance than anything major, but would be a bigger issue if I was working. If this sort of thing is not an issue for you, then I can recommend the firm.

I have used Derek's Tree Service a couple times now and this most recent time showed the same professionalism and service quality that I admire. We had a silver maple that was dropping (big) limbs during windstorms and given it was close to the house I elected to have it removed. I met with Chris and received a fair quote for removal of the tree, stump, and some roots. He and his team were on time, friendly, and got the job done. They also offered to trim a branch or two of other trees with no charge. That is customer service! Clean up was thorough and finished on time. Will continue to use Derek's for any of my tree needs.

I had seen a stain in livingroom ceiling and thought it was a failed wax seal in toilet in upstairs washroom. Turn water off to the toilet and things seemed to be drying up until a week later when the basement ceiling started leaking through the drywall. Called Plumb Wize and they came over quickly and Jose and Chris found the leak instantly even though it was in the back of the kitchen ceiling. A pinhole leak in the solder of a supply pipe was spraying water at the wall shared by the livingroom and above the basement. Everything was fixed quickly and Jose gave some invaluable advice for me to call my insurance company given the water that was in the walls. Indeed, things were saturated and the insurance company sent mitigation and restoration teams who have been here for 4 days. Thank you Jose and Chris for saving us from a potential mold nightmare!!

I found Sign Roofing on Homestars and was interested in them due to the good reviews. Working with Yong and his crew was exceptional. Yong was very responsive in all communications, not just initially but throughout the process. In January we agreed to have the roof repaired in April and on the last day of March my roof started leaking for the first time. I texted Yong and within 24 hours had a commitment for his team to replace the roof in just a couple days. He and his crew arrived right on time and worked continuously until the job was done (house and garage). They cleaned up so well my wife returned and could not tell that they did the work. Throughout the work Yong came by and checked on his crew as he had a couple other jobs in the area. The crew finished, waved good bye, and Yong returned the next day to receive the balance of payment. I would whole heartedly recommend SIGN Roofing to friends and family.

Had three dead ash trees in back yard. Had some thoughts of doing it myself, wife seems to prefer me alive so I hired Derek's Tree Service. After seeing him 30 feet up in the tree I am very glad I did. They were on time, done in 40 minutes, and cleaned up perfectly. If it was not for the fact the trees are missing, you would not know they had come.
