I searched the internet for security companies in Calgary and after checking out some of the main competitors and some US based companies that also serve Canada I came across Liberty. I chose Liberty as they are a good medium sized Alberta-based company that has competitive prices, good product and excellent reviews, especially regarding their service (both sales and after). The US companies sounded decent but their $CAD prices were expensive and they offered only DIY install wireless systems, which I didn't want. Some of the Cdn companies had decent product and sales service but, in the end, it was the reviews about the outstanding after sales service that really made me choose Liberty (as I did not want any issues with billing or costs of service techs coming out vs. Liberty's system is warrantied for life (parts and labor) so long as you are with them). After meeting on site with sales rep, Cole, I chose the Liberty Live Interactive package as we really wanted the ability to arm and monitor our system from our smartphones. Cole was fantastic. Personable, knowledgeable, honest and 100% transparent throughout the entire process in coming up with the package that best fit our needs and budget, using our existing old alarm equipment where possible to keep costs down and with no pressure to up-sell us into something we didn't need. Josh did the install a few days later and we're up and running now with a system that so far is very easy to set up (on the computer or computer/phone) and to use. So far I am very impressed and happy we chose Liberty as I am confident we have a great system and one that Liberty will be there to assist with and service (at no cost) should we ever have any problems.
