Long overdue review for Reliable Home Comfort. Last winter (Feb 2013), I was having problems with my furnace. When it was fixed, the repair guy found Carbon Monoxide leaking from the heat exchange unit. Instead of a repair, I decided to replace the furnace. I called around, and not only was Reliable Home Comfort one of the most competitive quotes I received (and best warranty), but they were also able to come replace the furnace the NEXT DAY. Well, fast forward to the next day, you might all remember Snowmageddon 2013? Feb 8th, 2013 to be exact, one of the biggest snowfalls in years, and guess what? Reliable Home Comfort still came to replace my furnace. Sure, they were an hour late - considering the road conditions, I'm still amazed that they got to my house when they did (and at all!). A lesser company would have just cancelled and stayed home, but these guys came out in the worst possible weather, and did an amazing job installing my new furnace. Every interaction with the company was pleasant, starting from the quote I received (no pressure either), all the way to the guys who did the actual work. I have referred Reliable Home Comfort to anybody and everybody I can who needs HVAC service - these guys are champs in my books, and will use them again in a heartbeat.

I don't understand this company. How can a snow plow service not show up the day of or just after a snow storm? Today for instance, there was a big storm overnight, and about 6 inches of snow fell, stopping at around noon. At 11pm, my driveway still has not been cleared. I try to call Jack, but his voice-mail is full and nobody answers the phone. A few weeks ago, smaller overnight storm, and they finally came to clear around 2pm! By this time, I've already driven in my driveway numerous times, and that snow is packed and won't get cleared. What's the point? There's a reason they are the best deal in the area. You get what you pay for.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Show up after a snow fall. Come promptly while the snow is still fresh so it actually gets cleared properly, and don't give it a chance to freeze, when it is impossible for your equipment to clear it completely.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Spend a little extra on a plow who shows up. Get references. I have a neighbour who pays more, but is very happy with his plow service. I will be using him next winter.
