I do not recommend Magic Windows. I feel let down by the process that I was put through. I feel disappointed by the tactics used to try and make me sign a contract for more money when I was not ready to sign. When making the appointment I explained that some of our windows were obstructed and we did not want to excavate. I was promised that an expert project manager would come out and "they've seen it all". Magic windows would tell us our options. After the first meeting with The project manager, we were under the impression that our project was viable without excavation, if the wood in our window frames was damaged/rotted, the installers would replace it as part of the quote. Also I made it clear that I needed any final decisions to be cleared by myself before making changes. The installer took inaccurate measurements. Then they were trying to charge us more for a Brick to brick install. Which we thought was already happening as our home is 60+ years old. Why would you reuse that ancient wood. Project Manager's answer was, well with the 40 year warranty, they'll just come out and fix it. Our retort, why not replace it the first time and not have to worry about it? The same project manager was there as she and my husband took measurements again and she was confused about how inaccurate the first measurements were. Project Manager sent the last quote in the evening. Which I did not see until I was on break during a 14 hour work shift. It included having my husband excavate a new window well area. I needed to go over this with him and see a timeline and also discuss our finances. Project Manager called twice during the day and left a voicemail stating that they wanted to send out a new installer to take accurate measurements but WOULD NOT until I signed the new and significantly larger quote. Since I was at work I thought, I'll just worry about this when I get home late tonight or fully read it tomorrow morning. Surprise, an installer shows up at my home and is turned away because I was not there and we needed to discuss the new information. The next email was from Magic Windows Innovations returning my paid deposit and one from Project Manager .Not everyone works 9-5 as I reminded Project Manager and she reminded me that she stopped by on a holiday monday. When i booked the monday, I didn't realize it was a holiday, if It was such an issue, why would she take the appointment that day. I found that Magic Windows made changes without my permission, by cancelling the contract, they were in such a rush to book this project when we had no time to discuss the new excavation timeline or the new costs in the latest quote. We had been prepared to add a window wall in the back of our home in the future with Magic Windows and recommend them. Now we won't. I observed that many of the lower rating reviews have been removed, I wish I had noticed that before contacting Magic Windows. Long story short, I do Not recommend Magic Windows and we are Very Happy with another Toronto company.

We had Antonio and his Wife back to add a subpanel, also rewire our basement and add pot lights. We can't say how happy we are with the work by Java Electric. They will be hired for our next electrical reno project too.
