Trevor and his crew did a great job installing heating cables with a thermostat on the back section of our roof. I appreciated that he took the time to review the job with me after he finished the work. Very neat work, too!

Our roof has had an ice damming problem for the past few winters. We had some work done previously on our eavestroughs, and another vent installed on our roof, to address the issue, but unfortunately it didn't resolve it. So, I decided to hire Alan at AllMax to do a more holistic inspection of our roof, attic and top floor to get to the root of the problem. Alan took photos of our roof with a drone, and ran a thermal scan of rooms on our top floor. He discovered a number of issues, namely heat loss due to uneven insulation in our attic. He gave us a detailed report with a few short and long term solutions, at different budget levels. We're very pleased with Alan's thorough inspection, and his advice!

Osane and Carlos did an amazing job staining the wooden railings and posts on our front porch, and painting the iron railings on our back porch. They were both very professional, and took their time to do a thorough job. I appreciated that they took a break to allow the stain to properly dry before applying the second coat. Will definitely hire HPT again!

We hired Manor to replace a water-damaged section of drywall in our basement. The work involved removing the damaged drywall and insulation, spraying for mold, putting in new insulation and drywall, finishing and priming the wall. Walter from Manor was incredibly friendly, and communicated with us as he progressed through the project. Walter's estimate (which he stuck to) was also the most competitive by far. We're very happy with the work!

We hired Hoerner to replace our aging water heater tank with a tankless system. Nicolas and Matt from Hoerner were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They capped and rerouted gas and water lines to situate the new tankless heater on the other side of our basement where it could be mounted and properly vented. Both of the guys were incredibly friendly, professional and communicative. We'll hire Hoerner again for any future HVAC projects without hesitation.

We had a plum tree with black knot disease which we wanted removed, and a few shrubs which needed pruning. I actually had a very difficult time getting a tree service company to come to our property to quote on the job. Many were very poor at responding to my email and voice messages, and a few were no-shows at scheduled appointments. Jamie at Goodwood was on vacation when I initially contacted him but told me he would get back to me when he returned, which he did. He showed up as scheduled to provide an estimate and was extremely professional. He seemed very knowledgeable and his quote was quite reasonable, so we decided to hire him for the job. He was very communicative, and his work was thorough and very neat. We will definitely hire Goodwood again in the future for any tree service!

Avenue Road Roofing was great from start to finish. Trevor, who estimated the project, was very thorough when he came to our house to assess the work and made some good recommendations. He noted that our neighbours (next to us in our semi-detached) didn't have a downspout at the back of their house, and offered to include transplanting our old downspout (still in decent condition) to their eavestrough at no additional cost! Our project manager, Jason, was very communicative. When I told him I had cleaned up some debris left over after the workers left, he was very receptive and told me they would have been happy to come back and tidy up. The quality of the work was excellent. Very neatly done. And the workers were extremely efficient, completing the entire project in one day. I would definitely recommend Avenue Road and will certainly use them again!

Home Painters Toronto was professional from start to finish. Even before we hired Home Painters, Brian was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Before the project started, we sent some reference photos to Brian to show him the sort of look we were hoping for for the stain on our new porch railings and tongue-in-groove ceiling. Mark came out and painted some test patches with two different types of stain. We chose one of them, and the end result is fantastic! The stain colour is exactly what we were hoping for, and Ben did an amazing job staining the many parts of our railing and ceiling. He even caulked the base of the support posts up our steps and along the porch, which we weren't expecting! I also appreciated both Robert and Patrick checking in throughout the fairly short project. Excellent customer service! After Ben had finished, we noticed a few small areas that had been missed. Patrick and Ben came back out and touched up the areas, and the end result is fantastic. I would use Home Painters again without hesitation, and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again!

Yitzie's crew did an excellent job cleaning our eaves troughs and windows, and were very reasonably priced. They cleaned up very thoroughly too! I will definitely use them next year!

Our plum tree was infected with black knot disease, and I contacted Derek's Tree Service to get a quote to remove the affected limbs. Peter contacted me very quickly and came to our property to give a free assessment. His quote was very reasonable, and we hired Peter to do the job. When I came home after the job was completed, I was amazed at the thoroughness of the work and how clean our yard had been left! Not a trace of branches, twigs, etc. anywhere. Peter had also pruned some additional bushes in the area! When I spoke later with Peter, he gave me a ton of great advice for maintaining our shrubs and trees moving forward. I would definitely hire Derek's Tree Service again!
