I got a dark wooden kitchen tray from here a while back. The store looks pretty clean and organized. It's in my area, so my boyfriend and I drop by sometimes to check out the new things they get. It seems like they often have different stuff coming. People are friendly but it's pretty quiet there. It's good to just take your time and walk around to find what you need.

I've done some wood working in highschool and some in university. But I am definitely not a carpenter. So, naturally, I had so many questions and they were very helpful to answer all the questions. They took me around and showed me the best parts to get, seemed genuinely interested in my project and gave me suggestions. (my project was my sketch with sizes roughly measured :o ) I would recommend!

I went there with my boyfriend to find some stuff for his tank and fish. It's pretty cramped in there with stuff and pretty quite and slow. It seemed like they have a lot of stuff but the price isn't really the best, nor the expertise. We coudln't find what my boyfriend was looking for. We coudln't get a definite answer either so we just decided to go check out other places.

I've gotten some shelves that weren't an exact fit to the space but thankfully, I just took them into Tangs Cabinet to get them cut and smoothed out. When I got the shelves back, they were nicely wrapped and returned to me with the cut off parts (in case i wanted to use them as small one frame shelves). They are very friendly and I would definitely recommend them!

They have really nice unique items - furnitures, and plates, and any decorations stuff.... i found an owl vase few years ago before the owl thing was big everywhere else too! I love going to shop there. It is on more expensive side for sure, so make sure to shop other places around there.

Moe's is close by Ikea and even though it's much smaller, they have a good selection of furniture. The price is pretty decent. Good if you are looking for inexpensive furniture.

I love Loomis, now Desserres. They have variety of papers, canvases and custom frames. I often make my own canvas and the price is much cheaper than Opus. The people there are often artists themselves and provide very helpful advices.

The people were pretty friendly but they arrived late. Really late.. I was given 2 workers but they were a bit older and one of them were too chatty and took far longer than the other guy. They made a dent on my wall which I didn't ask for insurance coverage since it wasn't that big of a deal but I just expect the movers to be more careful when they are dealing with furnitures. It was around 85/hr + 35 flat fee'ish.

I like going to Maynards because often the products are quite different. So, it's fun to find what they have in store, and the price is pretty good. I found small things like frames, shelves, etc. but they also had bigger things like office table and chairs, and such.

When I first requested for an estimate for some works around my place, Eric came by to check things out, take the measurements, and provide quote. He was very patient with all my never-ending questions, was very knowledgeable with carpentry, and was very professional and punctual. e was very attention to detail; I asked him to build me a customized shoe rack but after measuring the space and measuring my shoes, he advised me against it since the shoe rack will end up holding less shoes than it does atm. We are still trying to find a solution for this but it's always nice to know that the person/company you hire is there to do things right for you rather than just making sales. I got some shelves cut for my bathroom vanities, which was perfect fit, and he came over to install everything as well. He's very quick with his work, and it was job very well done! I am very very pleased with my new shelves and would definitely consult him for any work that needs to be done at my place.
