Company Response

We rented a hot tub for a week from edmonton hot tubs. Very disappointed with the company and would not recommend to anyone. First off our tub was to be delivered on dec 26. They called us to see if we could do dec 27 instead. Thats fine. Then they said it would be delivered by noon on dec 27. We waited around all morning and no tub. So we called and they said they were running late and would have it to us by 2:00. The tub ended up getting delivered at 3:30. Then we were told that it would only take 3 hrs to heat up. It took 6 hrs so the first day we were unable to use it at all. Then we realized we were losing water and had to constantly top up the tub which in turn took time to heat up the water so that we could go in it. We called the company and they came out the next day to figure out the problem. Faulty manifold apparently. So they replaced the part and we had no more water loss. But because of all the heating that we had to do over the first couple of days we ran out of propane. So the next day they brought by another tank. Obviously the tank was not full as it ran out in a day. When we called the next morning to tell them we were out of propane we were told that they were in the north end of edmonton and that they would not be able to hep us. What??? so, there we were, out of propane with a cold tub. What kind of company would just say umm sorry we can't help you today. Especially with a hot tub rental. So, overall we were unable to use the tub for nearly half the time that we had it. Oh yah, and I mentioned to them that we found broken glass shards in the tub and they did not care. I wrote the company an email with my concerns hoping that they would give us a n extra day or two on our rental or perhaps to charge us less for the issues we incurred but there was no response. I think word of mouth goes a long way and this company really did not seem to care about customer service in any way.

at the 6 month warranty mark we had asked for our garage floor to be looked at because of scaling due to water pooling and breaking up the concrete. garage floor was not poured correctly to allow the water to drain out. Builder said that based on alberta new home warranty standards the pooling water must be at least 1/4 inch deep and cover 4 sq feet. the water covers way more than 4 sq feet but it not quite 1/4 inch deep. we were told that there was nothing they could do and that we should put a sealant on our floor to stop further damage as it will continue to break up as the water sits there. they failed to mention that the cost for the sealant is $400 and that we would have to cover that cost. also, was are having problems with our roof with the plywood under the shingles raising up. the plywood somehow has moisture in it and it buckling under the shingles. landmark said this is normal and is just based on the size of staples that the contractor used when doing the roof. i do not feel this is acceptable. would appreciate hearing other people's concerns and what they were able to accomplish. not sure what this is all going to cost us in the long run.
