I cannot recommend Classic highly enough. From the initial quote through project completion Tiago and his team were professional, careful and thoroughly tidied up the site everyday. Tiago is a gem. He patiently answered all of my questions about the quote and was onsite daily to carry out the most complex aspects of the project.

Manfred Baier was unfailingly courteous and helpful. Baier’s approach to customer service is unparalleled amongst the upholsterers in Oakville with whom I met. My dining room and kitchen chairs were meticulously and promptly re-upholstered.

Be wary of this company - they take bitter advantage of inexperienced people! Last week I discovered water pouring from a furnace vent pipe. The plumber said it was REALLY bad and in a hard to reach spot. He said the normal rate for this type of job was $1,200, but as I had been kept waiting, he would do it for $920 plus tax. Thinking it would take all day and lots of parts, I agreed. The repair was complete within 45 minutes! When I questioned the quote relative to how quickly it was fixed, the plumber said they charge based on the situation, not by the hour. I wonder how much my grey hair and obvious ignorance of plumbing contributed to the “situation”. Later I discovered that my credit card had been charge $240 more than the signed invoice. $1,270 for 45 minutes and a 3 foot length of pipe.

I found called Breno at 8pm one night, and Norbert was at my place the next morning to check out the situation. He was as courteous and fair during our meeting as previous reviews suggested, so I accepted his quote. All work proceeded within one week as promised; the work was completed, including a thorough cleanup within 6 hours. Norbert arrived the following morning to inspect the work and site. I cannot recommend Breno highly enough. Do not look further!

Positives: quick response to my Saturday morning call for two appliances in need of repair. The repair man, from SOS Appliance Repair, was very thorough in analyzing the issue with my stove (mice had nibbled through the wires). Negatives: after I described the issue with my refrigerator, the freezer was frosting over and I could not regulate the temperature, he took a cursory look inside and said it was the motherboard, at a cost of $600 - $700, for which I had to pay half upfront, which I did. The repairman did not look to see if there was enough room between wall and fridge to allow adequate air circulation, which there was not, nor did he ask how old the fridge was (about 9 months) - as the electronics on a good fridge do not self-destruct so quickly. After he left, I did some reading and pulled the fridge away from the wall and the problem was fixed within 24 hours. I call OakviileAppliance Repair to cancel the motherboard replacement and asked for my deposit (less service charge) to be refunded. That was mid-April. I followed up every few weeks for three full months and only received my refund after I said that I was going to write this review.
