New circuits for fridge & dishwasher
Kiya was prompt and polite and appears to have done the small rewiring job competently if not entirely cleanly. However, he out-and-out told a falsehood to us about needing to have the whole house rewired -- good thing he didn't come to give the estimate when he said he would! Furthermore, there was a nearly insurmountable language problem when trying to communicate with Kiya or his men.
Investigate back-flowing toilet
The young man from Shanks spent a couple of hours on the floor of our basement bathroom, pulling stinking tree roots from the pipes and dramatically reducing the amount of sewage flowing back into the toilet. Although it was getting pretty late, he then consented to check out a problem with my kitchen sink.
The men were polite and efficient, and the garage looked great after they'd finished. In addition, despite having been told to take everything away, they checked with me before junking anything they thought might still be valuable to me (one item was!).

We had Contex replace both the peaked and flat roof on our house, and the flat roof on our garage. They are quite pricey, but worth it! On both occasions, they delivered a better-quality product than expected, in the latter case replacing most of the rafters before laying the roof. In addition, they left not one single bit of debris behind.
