I have a geothermal heating / cooling system that we are totally dependent upon to ensure the comfort of the guests who stay at our Northern Chalet. We have been using this company for the last 2 years primarily because of lack of choice in our area. I have spent approximately $3,000 over the last 2 years to have our geothermal system serviced. In many cases, I have had to have them return to repair the same problem they assured me was previously fixed. In all cases they have demanded payment for these return visits accepting no responsibility for their technician's incompetence. The most recent occurrence was this July where (once again) I had to call them to service the geo A/C that was not working. They spent 5 hours and charged me $600. Today, I received an irate call from a guest who reported that the A/C was not working! I called Exl-Aire and told them of the issue. I explained my guests' situation and their discomfort and that we would again be experiencing 30+ C temperatures. The office manager with whom I have had previous experience sympathized and assured me he woul dispatch a technician either late morning, but certainly by early afternoon. At 4:00 I received a call from my guest asking when we would have the A/C fixed! I called Exl-Aire and they would not answer my call. I sent them an e-mail to which I received a response saying they were unable to make it to our property because of "unforeseen circumstances"! No proactive call, no notification to my guest, nothing. Totally unprofessional, totally incompetent, horrible office manager. Save yourself some money and frustration and call someone else for your heating / cooling needs.
