Aluplex quoted immediately by phone. Two other companies I contacted promised to visit to provide quotes but arrived a full week after the time promised. By that time I had signed up with Aluplex, and I don't regret it! (I would rather not give the cost as this is personal information which may not apply to other projects.) The Aluplex skylights used at my house are the double layer plastic type with a dome appearance and a very clean and efficient design. Except for a half-inch rim on the edges, the entire roof opening is utilized to provide light. We are getting at least 50% more light in comparison with the old leaky skylights. Also one layer of glass had shattered in one of the old skylights, due to the summer heat.
