5/10

After reading the good reviews and getting quotes from others I decided to go with Greenfox despite the higher price to get a quality product and install, not so sure that was the correct decision in retrospect. Ordered the windows July 28 and was promised a 8-10 week commencement date, which was longer then other companies by 2 weeks. The completion time was estimated at 5 days. The job started October 10 and was completed November 2nd. So almost 14 weeks before the job was complete. Keep that in mind when ordering. The issues I had with the job: 1 - The bay window was order as one unit, Greenfox came out and measured for the bay window on three occasions so it could be one unit. Without anyone telling me before hand they showed up with three separate windows and ended up assembling them together onsite and capping the windows with aluminium. I specifically order full frame replacements for a reason to avoid capping, this is what they delivered. They refuse to do anything about this. 2- The doors Greenfox intalls are not custom, they take `standard' size doors and make them fit, in my case this resulted in two of the doors being raised 1.5 inches and the exterior door was again capped. The salesman does not explain this at time of sale. 3- The way they measure openings is 1/4 inch smaller than the previous windows which should leave a 1/8 inch gap around the window to be caulked. In general the gap around the frame that was caulked was larger then then this, so either the windows are measured differently or what was also said sometimes the factory will make a slightly different sized window then what is ordered. 4 - In general the caulking was quite bulky, could defiantly be neater, not sure if this is due to gap size. 5 - They install vinylbilt windows, one unit unit looks to be warped, Greenfox said they will replace the one unit which I hope they do and will update the review once it is done. Another window was likely not quite square as it had to be installed unlevel to open and close properly. All in all for the money I would try my luck elsewhere next time.

Replaced a 16x7 door, job went how it should. Salesman came out, explained the options we were looking for a particular window style so the window would be outside the angled corners, and he found a style that would work. Price was competitive with other quotes. Installer came out on the day that was arranged on time and had the new door installed and weather stripped in under 3 hours. Reconnected the old garaged door opener and the door looks and operates as it should.

I initially reviewed the company taking exception to the job they did. The same day the review was posted I was called and they insisted on coming out that day to look the job so they could make it right. Scott and Ryan came over and assessed the job and went above and beyond making sure I was satisfied. They rectified the issue I had with the initial garage heater install and went the extra mile and installed a bonus vent fan in the garage. All in all truly impressed with the level of customer service would recommend to anyone.

Did a complete shingle re-roof of home attached garage and shed also added a downspout and repaired some soffits and flashing which was nice as other companies quoting the job did not have the ability/desire to do this. Drawbacks, crew who did the work were subcontractors which is not the end of the world and a common practice I am told. Took them a while to come back and finish the outstanding items after the work was done. Although the shingle crew cleaned up pretty well the person doing the flashing left his cut offs and other garbage on the roof, which would of been a hazard had i not gone up to look at the job and notice it.

Hi There,

We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience! We also appreciate your patience and understanding. The subcontractors we work with work with and only Reid's Roofing and have been with us as long as 6 years. I know the common reputation subcontractors have so I can see why you would have been concerned. The cut offs/garbage it was definitely an error on our behalf to not communicate once the job was completed. We typically are out there shortly after completion to complete final inspection and catch, if any debris left behind.

Your business is very much appreciated and we wish you well over the summer months and beyond!
Kind Regards,
Jessica & Calvin Reid
