This was our second time hiring Celcon. In 2009 we hired them to renovate the basement (a big job including underpinning); they did a great job so of course we wanted them back. This time we had them gut and redo the main and second floors of the house. Chuck and all of his crew (Derek, Rob, Warren, Raymond and all) are friendly, respectful, reliable, skilled and serious about doing the best possible job. If anything isn't satisfactory, they fix it without argument. Celcon makes no guarantees as to the time it will take, but they do come in on budget. They are pleasant to work with and they did a beautiful job on our home. We look forward to hiring them again in a few years when we do the top floor.

At the very end of a $85,000 reno job (done by our excellent contractor), we purchased marmoleum flooring from Merit and hired them to install it. They screwed it up completely. The material was badly cut, badly joined, and then improperly glued so that it started to bubble within the month. Throughout this nightmare, Merit tried to avoid any responsibility and to just patch it up in some ugly way. The only good thing I can say about Tony is that he didn't argue when I refused to pay anything more than the $1000 deposit I had already paid. I should have gotten my deposit back, honestly, but I had enough of being infuriated. Merit failed and I will never recommend their business.

I called Delroy this morning based on previous reviews. He came this afternoon, fixed my oven in short order and charged me a fair price for the repair. No mess, no fuss = happy customer.
